I have to say, I loved UFO and Space 1999 as a kid, and still do, but there was a long period of my life where I did not watch UFO then I did later... and it has quite a bit of dark gravitas. Even as an adult it's very powerful.

Really excellent. I wanna go there. One area for improvement would be for when Moonbase sends George Cole outside to shoot down a UFO, could they provide a better tube of glue, quick setting, to seal any rips in the spacesuit material caused by shrapnel.

Love the cosplay, BTW. Even with the vertical stripes (which seem to be the only kind anyone uses these days, to my continued chagrin) the accurate colours sell it.

Ah, the eyerolls... I do love that cynical edge in the show. Unlike Star Trek TOS, there are no illusions that humanity has eradicated racism and sexism in the future, but at least if you treat a female officer like the tea lady you're very likely to get a generous side order of frosty sarcasm.
