@@johnreilly8672 I love Schenker, but Phil Mogg did not force him from the band - as evidenced by the number of vocalists Schenker has gone thru in his career .. Michael Schenker hates his own brother, the guy is not easy to work with

I'm shocked by how many people never heard of UFO, to this day UFO is my top 5 favorite band. You said it the best band no one heard of! Their last release a conspiracy of stars and being 66 years old Mogg still can still get it! Not a lot of bands can survive the test of time like UFO has.

@@ibbobo5162 I also saw them in 70s and 80s and always delivered a great show. UFO long overdue their place in the RRHof Fame. That should be Shame. They are a disgrace putting in acts that aren’t even rock. SAHB and Badfinger to name but 2 other great bands ignored while non rock acts have been inducted.

ONE of Schenker's best for sure...very memorable for me as well. But please remember Rock Bottom, Love to Love, Lights Out, and Doctor Doctor. Any number of UFO classics.. I really do like this one though.

@@GodsTruthMinistries Yes indeed...this was the "Strangers in the Night"...one of thee best live rock albums of all times of all rock bands as the polls show for decades now. If it could have continued minus the break-ups and hostilities...UFO would have not been underrated...they would have been a household name. If only Chrysalis Records would have more of their classics from this lineup during this concert or era and only release them. Can you imagine this quality video of Love to Love, Rock Bottom, Out in the Streets, etc?

With Michael on guitar, and Pete on bass, it's hard to be anything but a super-power packed band. Add Phil and you have now left the ground. Live, they took you on a real journey. Just a great rocking band!!

In the late 70s and early 80's UFO was easily my favorite band! Every night before i would go to bed i always put on a UFO LP and that was my going to sleep music i always wondered why i knew lyrics to some songs really good! I finally realized even though I was sleeping i was still listening. Im 62 now ans UFO still gets played in my sleep

UFO really had it together starting with phenomenon.They had it all, great lyrics great lead singer, and fantastic head guitarist Michael Shanker.Nobody sounds like UFO. And as far as the rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Fame, it doesn’t mean anything. Sure they should be in it but it’s really not a big deal

Schenker & Mogg would be good...but neither one has it like they used to. And the chemistry with this lineup was perfect...magical...like Van Halen, Led Zeplin, etc...and many other bands (except for the personality clashes). It's over. What we need is more quality videos like this one with this lineup and this era. I'm sure they have to have more than one song. I'd watch those videos over & over again. I've been listening to "Strangers" over & over again for 40 years now and have never tired of it. Led Zeplin called it quits when their drummer passed away because they said without John Bonham it would never be the same.

God I love this song. Saw UFO word on tv and it triggered a memory. When I lived in London, my sister had the biggest crush on the lead singer's son, Nigel Mogg. She saw him down an alley behind the Marquee club, looking thin and lonely. He finished a beer then threw the bottle behind him. That did it for her😂❤!

I've got "Strangers in the Night" on vinyl, circa 1977. I don't play it anymore, but my MAXELL cassette still kicks ass!!! Imo, one of the best live albums ever released.

Michael used a tiny, battery-powered five-watt Pignose amp for the rhythm tracks on this album. I knew it wasn't a Marshall, but thought maybe it was an old Vox amp cranked up.

Seeing 70s footage of Schenker with UFO is like coming across footage of The Loch Ness Monster : he's this incredible, mythical figure that seems to only exist in fables .. There;s a shot during his lead here in which Schenker, Pete Way and Paul Raymond are all in the frame together -- the three coolest motherfuckers ever, in the same band, on the same stage ...
