This is the only time I have ever seen Michael Schenker blow a solo - it is a good thing that one of his best friends, Uli Roth, was there to step in and prop him up! Nothing like having a best friend who is also a guitar legend on stage to help you through! Good Job!

I seen U.F.O in I think 75/76 I know I seen them in 1980. But with Michael GOD Schenker. With Pete Way Phil Moog and the rest. Andy Parker on drums. They were FUCKEN GREAT!Still one of my all time favorite Rock Bands. Strangers in the night I think still the best live Album yet.

I didn't get to see that incarnation of UFO, Strangers in the Night is the best live album ever, especially since Schenker refused to do overdubs and retakes, a situation that ultimately lead to him leaving the band. Michael is a genius of the guitar and a huge inspiration. I just love watching and listening to Michael play.

sherry gypsy S I know that Jimmy Page is right up there in terms of quality but the style he plays is a little more blues orientated. I think these two guys are the best for that original style of "hard rock" My first concert was UFO backed up by Judas Priest at the old Chicago Amphitheatre. Michael Schenker had quit the band as they were getting to Chicago and we found out about it the day before and it ruined the concert for me! This was the year after they came out with the live album, "Strangers in the night". When Judas Priest came out on stage (they were barely known then), K.K. Downing who had long blonde hair like Schenker AND played the "flying V" came out first. Well, the place went up for grabs 'cuz everyone thought that it was Schenker!!! It was a let down until they got into their set and they really blew UFO away unfortunately. That's my first concert story. Thanx for listening! LOL,LOL

This was not for sure one of the best year in Michael's private life but his musicianship never left him, he put out amazing albums during this time... Luckily a few years later he will regroup and will have an amazing comeback, looking suddenly like 20 years younger and playing better than ever. M.S. knew Uli was every bit his equal when he brought him into Scorpions when he left to be with UFO. And who can top the one who did the original anyway? But Uli is a master of his domain as Michael is a master of his. They are equals, just in different ways.

Um. Uli has kept his faculties, and MS has not. There is really no comparison now, Uli triumphs no matter how you slice it. It's nice Michael was able to capture a good solo on video, but in general his performances are shite these days.

Uli is amazing but never touched us Rockers of the world anywhere close to Michael Schenker in his glory days w Scorps, UFO, and his solo stuff. MS's music (his songs) are much better, his leads more aggressive and iconic. He had a new mastery & fluidity of pentatonic scales and riffage that no one had ever heard before. Michael's vibrato and bends otherworldly. Uli's pentatonic sound was Hendrix, unoriginal, not badass or epic, original as was Michael's. Not even close. *Schenker's music and solos were Life Changing* for guitarists and hard Rockers. Schenker may have lost it here a bit but was 2 tiers above Uli at their peak. I love Uli but MICHAEL was god and much more important to rock history. His music and original style will live forever. Michael's solos in UFO and 1st two solo albums are foundational to rock/metal music and the evolution of rock guitar soloing.
