Nice review! I never had one of these but wondered how they worked in real life.

I still remember first seeing this video on James Rolfe's AVGN episode. And I also remember that this thing was the only one that worked properly in his video. I find most videos telling that this thing is worthless at least baffling to me. Why is it considered to be so bad? Maybe because people are lazy and don't want to read the instructions...
@ReplayRetro6 жыл бұрын
Yeah it actually appears in a few Cinemassacre videos, one where it works and a few where it's treated like junk, i'm a big fan of AVGN and most of James Rolfe's stuff but he definitely played a big role in starting the "cool to hate" thing. The problem is people buy these things and just expect to be able to plug them in and use them without any set up or understanding, it's like expecting to fly a plane without any prior knowledge then complaining when you couldn't even start the engines

ReplayRetro true. I guess the issue is that this was a complex thing for simple platform. If it was an accessory for a computer, people would probable treat it better - back in the 80s and 90s computers were more complex and less easy to use than today, so reading instructions was expected from Commodore, IBM, Apple or Atari users. Still, it's cool to see that idea of motion control never died, as it definitely has potential for cool and fun things. But as well as flightsticks, racing wheels and VR sets, these are niche products. Still, niche products are cool

Any plans for continuing the show? These reviews are very interesting and informative

In the fireman game it looked like you had to do something with the switches on the uforce, in the bottom left it showed a bunch of switches, maybe you need to flip them during the game to prevent the leaks from appearing somehow? That would make the game pretty interesting.

After the critics dragged it thru the mud, Broderbund tried to pass it off as a device for advanced players who wanted to increase the difficulty level of NES games.

Thank God you stopped that flickering TV bullshit. If you re did some original reviews or at least uploaded the unmolested versions I guarantee this channel would receive a massive boost

U-Force works with virtually all Nintendo NES games such as Punch-Out!!, Super Mario Bros. 2, Top Gun, Rad Racer, Excitebike & Kung-Fu.

Fact: There was going to be a game made for the UForce controller, the UForce Power Games, but due to the low fare of the UForce controller, the game got cancelled.
