This is my concern. If the grades are truly this great (and I find it hard to believe), why are they hiring Chinese firms to mine the gold. The ore is so rich you could mine it by hand and rule the world. Including Chinese companies in on mining the gold (supposing it exists) is giving away massive amounts of Uganda's wealth to these Chinese companies.

Rob - Uganda discovered 320 milion tons of gold ore. Can be extracted to estimated 320k tones of gold. This means you get 1gram of gold per 1 tone of ore. This is not going to be easy or cheap to extract, but sure is stil profitable, given that gold price stays high enough. You need to process 32tonnes to get 1 oz of gold. Cay you do it for les than $1k? Possibly I think its bit better than distilling gold from sea water.

Stories on this discovery came out 17 days ago. Why has every business news show not covered this two weeks ago? The ramification on AU price is shattering. The ramification on going to a gold standard become very feasible. Dollar & foreign currency collapse may hasten. This story is bigger than anything in last 3 weeks and not covered, what the heck! This video is focusing on the wrong absurdity. English is clearly not this guys first language and he misspoke. The official press release is 31 million tons of ore containing 320K tons of purified gold. The real absurdity is that this comes out to an average of over 300 ounces of gold per ton. Just for perspective, most large gold mines in the world have an average head grade 1/10 th of and ounce per ton or less. The idea that this particular area of the world has more than 3000 times the average grade consistently over 31 million tons is unconnected to all other gold deposits in the world. Nothing like that occurs anywhere else on earth except in extremely small (and rare) ore bodies (like 50 tons or less).
