To be fair to him in the context of the metrics you're using, he's been forced to be a CDM which we all know he's not. So of course he's never scored much until eth started putting him more advanced. When you look at his poor passing and ability to score, every coach until eth has failed him. I'm not saying he's a United player, btw. But what I am saying is that if we needed depth and had to hang on to a player until next summer, he would be one I kept and used as a 3rd choice striker to throw in at the end of games. And I did not feel that way until he started getting played in more advanced roles. Also...I had been one of the ones saying for years he needs to be in an advanced role because it's been obvious for a long time that he has a shot. It's probably his best attribute.

I'm a Fulham fan but Man U are my second team. We obviously weren't sexy enough for McTom but I doubt Napoli will pay £20m plus £3m of add ons, which was our rejected bid, since most Italian clubs are fairly cash strapped. The second problem is that, even if Napoli met Man Utd's valuation, will it be too late for Ugarte? Time will tell.

He won’t go as United can now get Ugarte on loan so don’t think PSR is an issue as it’s not counted against this years budget given the loan would be an obligation to buy. So in theory United haven’t spent anything so now can get rid of a defender maybe to get Kadioglu or try and poach Toney?
