Because you are not doing a degree. HND means Higher National Diploma. Diploma is always below than a degree.

you cannot just say no. in simple term, for UGC approved degrees means UGC can directly interfere. however, for UGC recognised degrees they cannot and most of these degrees are afiliated with foreign universities. A college being UGC (University Grants Commission) recognized but not UGC approved means the following: UGC recognition indicates that the college is authorized to operate and offer degrees as per the UGC Act. This ensures the college meets certain minimum standards and its degrees are valid. However, UGC approval is a more rigorous accreditation process that evaluates the college's infrastructure, faculty, curriculum, and overall quality in-depth. Not having UGC approval may not necessarily create major problems for higher studies, but there can be some potential issues: - Eligibility for postgraduate programs: Some top universities or PG programs may have a preference for students from UGC approved colleges, as the approval indicates a higher level of educational quality. - Scholarships and funding: Students from UGC approved colleges may have better access to scholarships, fellowships, and other funding opportunities offered by the government or universities. - Recognition of degrees: While the degrees from a UGC recognized college are valid, they may not hold the same prestige or be viewed as favorably as degrees from UGC approved institutions by some employers or academic institutions. - Transferring credits: If a student wishes to transfer to a UGC approved college or university, there may be issues with the full acceptance and transfer of credits earned from the non-approved college. However, it's important to note that many reputable and high-quality colleges may not have UGC approval for various reasons, and students can still pursue higher studies from such institutions.
