No. The Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) is regulating BAMS. It is applicable for UGC regulated Humanities and Social sciences PG degree or integrated UG degree holders.

No u cannot write UGC/ CSIR NET exam. Neither the UGC-NET nor the CSIR-NET has pharmacy in the list of its subjects. But the students of pharmacy if are interested in giving the UGC-NET, they choose forensic science as their subject to write the exam as it is closest to pharmacy. Certain portion of both the subjects such as zoology part matches hence students of pharmacy prefer forensic science over other subjects. There is separate exam called GPAT (Graduate pharmacy aptitude test) for the students of pharmacy which enables them to pursue M.Pharmacy and a monthly fellowship of 12400 for 24 months. For PhD, the pharmacy students can go GPAT as well as it enables them for NDF (National Doctoral Fellowship).
