Crazy... I am guessing it sensor calibration given changes in 02 tension at different heights. I had a related problem with the Aventador in Vegas but it was due to humidity and heat. How is the car running once you get down from 10,000 feet? Did the system reset? At any rate, the views are AMAZING!!! Thanks for taking us on the road less traveled!

Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor is a key sensor because it senses engine load, the sensor generates a signal that is proportional to the amount of vacuum in the intake manifold. The engine computer then uses this information to adjust ignition timing and fuel enrichment. It's probably a little-confused being at such a high altitude just take it easy on the noise pedal till you reach a normal altitude.

might it be caused because is a n/a engine?

+migmardi Not neçcesarily but just because it got a bit out of breath? a turbo has the same sort of sensor or an MAP But it will run without it. just not at peakpower.

"2500 miles, what a trip!" Don't get hung up about the mileage, do the roadtrip. If you're going to get worried about putting mileage on a supercar you'll never do the roadtrip you're dreaming of and one day you'll be in your 40s with kids and a mortgage driving around in a Honda wishing you'd done it when you had the chance.

The barometric air pressure at 10K feet is 10.1 PSI versus 14.96 PSI at sea level. The air is less dense and there's less oxygen. A little surprising the lambo is that sensitive to barometric pressure.

I was gonna reply the same thing, he need not worry

No shit. You lose 3% of total car power for every 1000ft above sea level you go. Every vehicle notices that much of a difference? Your car would take a shit on you everywhere you go if your cars computer didn't make up for those discrepancies.

It's somewhat common for those to malfunction at high altitude, I'm guessing it's fine. I'll post some info below about what the internet had to say about it. lol, guess I should have watched the rest of the video before posting. The Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor provides instantaneous manifold pressure information to the engine's Engine Control Module (ECM). The data is used to calculate air density and determine the engine's air mass flow rate, which in turn determines the required fuel metering for optimum combustion. A fuel-injected engine may alternately use a Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor to detect the intake airflow. In some vehicles, the absolute pressure sensor is built into ECM.
@FlyBoyBrad_8 жыл бұрын
honestly what I would think is happening is since it's operating at 10,000ft above sea level is that since the air is thinner up there it might just not be getting enough air into the cylinders for proper combustion and it's probably throwing some codes because it's running too rich and it can't counterbalance it. (in example when I was a lot younger one of my parents cars when we went to the Rockies gave us a CEL for that exact reason)
@FlyBoyBrad_8 жыл бұрын
also for anyone who says anything like, he already says this in the video. I typed the previous comment out before I even had started watching the video so no need to say anything.
@mihalydenes27168 жыл бұрын
The light came up because the elevation. As you go higher and higher the surroundig airpressure decreases and same with the oxigen levels. Since the engines use oxigen to ignite the fuel it is critical to have enough of it. If the oxigenlevels drops too much the engine won't be able to ignite the fuel causing the engine struggle to make power. (this is way more hard on N/A engines). Another effect of the high altitudes is that the water boils much quicker and it causes overheating in the engine.

No such thing as a bad day @ Yosemite!! You need to find the money for the trip! If you need to plan it out over a year or so....do it. So don't take the Lambo. Get another cool ride to do it in....consider purchasing a used RV.....the trip is worth doing. How do I know? I've been to Seattle. I've been to Key West. I've been to San Diego (and San Francisco). I've been to South Padre Island and of course, I've been to Maine. Not all in one trip....THAT is going to happen sometime soon. But when I add up all the cool things/places I've been? That thought contains lots of cool memories/experiences. MAN you gotta take the trip! And that goes for anyone reading this.

nice vid & great scenery!!!! "again" ur Audi check for fuel pressure, you'll need a pressure gauge n simple attach to the a nipple usually on the fuel rail/injectors etc recheck the fuels for fuel pump, etc & check the pumps connected up correctly.. a fuel pressure reading will give the OK for the fuel pump... then it's an electrical issue... check plugs/coils etc also if your getting good fuel pressure then it shows no issue with fuel filter! PS why not do a rnd trip in the Audi???

Just do the trip in the TT then do another when financial circumstances are better. What's important to you, the trip itself or the trip in a supercar. Just like now after 9 years you have only just decided to take a scenic route, there's more than one trip you could do. Do the TT trial run, maybe a mini trip say 5k in either TT or Gallardo. Plenty of options you could do.

Love the views, grew up and lived in Northern Nevada for over 50 years. You say there is nothing there, You just don't know what to look for. There is so much there but you need to know where to go and look. As for the MAP sensor if your at 10,000 and it is 90 Deg. the Density Altitude could be as high as 18,000. Your car suffers from High altitude sickness. Nothing to worry about.
