I just purchased one (Thor Axis) after much research. Here's why... 1. I wanted a smaller Class C sized RV. I love the "Class A" size window to see the beauty of where I'm traveling to without the van feeling of a Class C. In my opinion, the Class A window is far superior to Class C, even if the structural lines in the Vegas/Axis aren't as "beautiful" as a Tiffin. 2. These are much less intimidating than a normal size class A due to size and height. 3. The engine handles the coach very well since it's under 26 ft. Acceleration is impressive. 4. The tires are $200 a piece vs $1200. 5. Suspension upgrades are more affordable since they are truck parts. 6. Allows one to enter into the RV lifestyle earlier in life, based on price and storage etc.. 7. The used market offers them at lower prices, while still relatively new (under 6 to 8 years old). I have researched RV's for years. It's not like the older Class A's which would be in an entry level price range are so much more stylish

Wow, maybe it's just me, but I love the looks of the Vegas... Especially the 25.2 with the bedroom that extends out of the back. I love the view from the large glass up front & the side windows as well. Lastly, I think it's great that starting in 21, Thor went with the more powerful 7.3L V8 over the previous V10. Obviously, this is all just my personal opinion.

They definitely exist because people do like them! This is just our opinion! The V8 is great, but all manufacturers are going with that now because it’s all Ford is offering now.

Don't hold back. Tell us how you really feel! You missed the nice metal sink in the bathroom instead of plastic. 2 out of 10 is generous. Yet they sell lots of these. Go figure. Think about the stuff underneath that you can't see.
@CozyLivingMachine Жыл бұрын
Hahahaha I wanted to be kind. 🤣 I don't fully understand why they sell well, every now and then we see these. I suspect it's the idea of having a "class A" yet being so maneuverable, though this really doesn't have any of the benefits of a typical "class A" to me, really no storage on this unit, very low to the ground, I can't imagine fuel economy makes up for the ugliness, and then the build quality and attention to detail just didn't quite cut it for me, personally. I guess different strokes and such...
@kingdavidcoffee Жыл бұрын
@@CozyLivingMachine in my humble opinion, the answer to the question not asked is to find an older high quality name brand RV at 10 to 20 cents on the dollar. Make any repairs needed and enjoy. 2000 to 2008 pre recession is a good quality build window. Think Newmar, Tiffin, and anything out of the Pacific Northwest like Country Coach, Beaver, Safari, Trek, Holiday Rambler etc. Just my 2 cents.

I know that they were for a while, and then the prices of everything pushed these WAY up. Maneuverable as heck, and while this particular decor is atrocious, the newer ones aren't nearly as bad inside. 😂

Hey Joel, you definitely found the ugly one! 😅 If I’m not too much bother, I have two more questions about your solar for the 29V…. I saw you switched your inverter from renogy because of the double ground fault problem. Mine would be the same… so I’m also leaning towards the SL Euthtion inverter. Is yours ideal or would you prefer the 3500?(especially since i need my A/C in Sedona AZ should I get a little more?) Second, can your cummins generator also charge your sok battery bank for cloudy days? If not why or what will I need to do that? Wouldn’t that be desirable for full-timing like us?
@CozyLivingMachine Жыл бұрын
Not a bother at all! And you've been doing your homework here, sounds like! 😂 You know, I don't think it matters all too much, whichever you can get a better deal on is what I'd go with. There is a higher standby power draw on a 3500W vs a 3000W, though I can't say how much power this actually draws (not stated in the guide I looked up). I happen to leave my inverter on 24/7 and you can see a slight drop in voltage overnight, but I wouldn't say this matters all too much at all, especially not in AZ. The coach can only pull 30A of power so either way should do the trick! We don't have it automatically charging our system, but you could easily add either a DC-DC charger OR just a standard 120-12V converter that can handle the different voltages required for LiFePO4. We so rarely use our generator that we didn't want to add the expense, but they're pretty easy to set up as I understand it, and they just plug in to a standard 120V, three prong outlet, and then you'll just want to be sure that you disconnect or unplug this when you shut the generator off. I know with DC-DC chargers there's a way to have it detect power on a line and enable/disable power distribution accordingly, so if there's a will, there's a way!
@hawksleym1 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for that! Much appreciated. ordered 4 SOK 206ah’s this morning (considering a 5th) planning for a Victron charger (any links would be great) and think I’m going to try the 3000w inverter first since that should be enough … like you, we’re not worried about the 24/7 draw with so much sun out here. Going to try to figure out the generator charge also. Seems like that will cover high usage days and cloudy periods
@CozyLivingMachine Жыл бұрын
You're going to love those batteries, seriously they're great. And between solar panels and a generator, you'll never have troubles I'd say. As for a converter charger, this is what I had looked at being a 100A charger. Bigger wires would be helpful here (one of the reviews had some small gauge wiring that's a little sketch) but otherwise it looks like a fair enough price! www.amazon.com/PowerMax-PM4-100A-Converter-Battery/dp/B01ER3LH5W/ref=sr_1_3?crid=10OUO8EHWILDC&keywords=120%2Bto%2B12v%2Bconverter%2Blithium&qid=1675797765&sprefix=120%2Bto%2B12v%2Bconverter%2Blithiu%2Caps%2C200&sr=8-3&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.f5122f16-c3e8-4386-bf32-63e904010ad0&th=1

Good to see some honesty in a review. The A class shape on the C class chassis is actually really practical so not sure why there aren't more American RV's doing this. In Europe this is how pretty much every 'A Class' is done and it works well. Not everyone needs a full size bus to cruise around in. My pet hate is the death-by-brown/beige that afflicts 99% of American RV interiors. Again compared to Europe where they know what other colours are, these are all ugly as sin. Does anyone in the US know what interior design is? 😁 For the price they are great budget RV, but I'd be factoring in some renovation costs to replace the disgusting colour schemes. Also, I would've like to have seen the slide in. Is the bed usable with the the slide in?
@CozyLivingMachine Жыл бұрын
I could certainly see that! I think the reason is because most folks buy a class A for the storage and cargo capacity, but otherwise would just buy a class C, which is usually easier to work on with the larger hood and all of the same amenities. The class C also offers better storage with the overcab and such! A lot of folks like these little guys, but there's no discernible advantage over a similarly sized class C that I've seen. But the heart wants what the heart wants! 😂 This unit really is very, very ugly. The real shame is the terrible build quality as well, using staples instead of glue and screws, really flimsy wall materials, etc. The unit is unable with the bed slide in as I recall!
