I rlly thought Lou was a pure evil character when I was young until I grew up and rewatched this, I kinda love him now because he's too relatable, emagine trying so hard to achieve a goal you know you'd never achieve and help other people achieve theirs until someone manages to achieve YOUR dream because of some "friendship" or having people feel bad abt them and make them join their side, I kinda noticed that his friendship with ox seemed genuine, but once he found out that ox could achieve His dream he got jealous and hurt, crazy how jealousy can change ppl in such negative ways, and he expresses it when he says "let's see how you feel when you're trapped in this place forever, just like me" around 1:9:35 the entire convo you can tell he was hurt and jealous by his voice (voice actor had bills to pay) and in 1:10:59 he even admitted he experienced a lot of people leaving him saying "you, a reject, are gonna leave me just like the others" which means he's been left alone there alone while others leave him, Lou seemed like he'd be such a good person if he wasn't hurt in the most brutal but common way, and I say common because ik that a lot of you reading this has experienced what Lou has too

I think Lou is just misunderstood. He was a prototype and all his older friends left and never came back, so he's pressuring newer dolls to be perfect. When he saw the "uglydolls" I think he thought they couldn't be fixed. If he had a kid I'd say he'd be with a homeless kid that really loves him. No offense the "uglydolls" kinda look like characters from Dumb Ways to Die, and nothing looked wrong with lucky bat.

Lou deserved better as a character. First of all, he would have a better arc then any other characters if they had given him space to improve. Second of all he's more complex then the main characters. And to top all of it, he was clearly mentally struggling but they gave him a bad ending. The only reason I like this movie is Lou. He's a flawed and complex character. He had space to improve. Meanwhile the main character was mostly flawless from the beginning. I watched this fully one time to know the whole story. I only rewatched the parts that had Lou in them.
