I'm glad I got sober, before discovering Tom Waits. I probably would've downloaded EVERY album he made, bought a case of whisky, put the music on shuffle, & proceeded to drink myself to death. Having said THAT, I'm glad that in sobriety, I can enjoy his music with a CLEAR head, and appreciate what a unique talent he is. I'm approaching 49 years on this planet, & he's my new hero. Tom Waits is an uncompromised artist, poet and musician . He kicks ass and dosn't seem to give a fuck! His music paints pictures of all manner of squalid lifestyles with a wicked sense of humour! Classic track featured in the movie Fight Club.

In 1993 I got Bone Machine eventually wearing a groove in the CD. That afternoon I had already scored some speed and later on on my first playing of the tracks on my trucks stereo system I replayed this song since it was appropriate for the moment . The plan was to drive all night, but I already had some tweak so i made a slight change to the lyrics.
