Just a lil disclaimer: I was not paid in any way nor did I receive any free gear or discounts on gear to make this video. I asked UGQ if I could film their shop and drove over four hours to UGQ on my dime because I love their products and think others should too. Although, Paul the owner did make me an amazing cheeseburger on his grill! LOL!

So were those ducks actually named Chevy and Ferrari? Are they somewhere shivering? Does Chad still look manly with it stuck in his beard? So many unanswered questions...

😂 It’s ok we made quilts for the ducks to stay toasty warm!

@@chadhoughton5795 Seriously though, I have a Duck and Turkey farm. I should probably pay closer attention to the duck down...because its clearly more important than I have considered in the past. They are mostly cherished for their egg laying here.

I am completely sold on UGQ quilts now thanks to Dan, Chad, other die hard customers, and video's like this. I'll be trading in my Mountain Hardwear synthetic sleeping bag for a new UGQ Bandit this off-season:) Thx Dan!

I upgraded to a 10* UGQ to take on the JMT this August and Sept. Loved it. It wrapped around me so well, no drafts ever toasty warm in my tent, though even with some extra fill in the foot box I still had cold feet as usual. Definitely recommend their product. It came quickly as well.

Love UGQ! Have 3 tarps and 8 of their quilts and am going to order another tarp and another top and under quilt. Paul and Missy are great folks as well. A few years ago they made me a show quilt that is a riff on the Texas flag, and I still use it every fall (30° quilt). It still keeps me toasty. Learned a few things too.

I purchased a UGQ quilt along with a comparable Enlightened Equipment. My son and I have used both of them on several backpacking trips. Both of them in the exact same conditions a lot of time in the same tent. The UGQ being about a hundred dollars cheaper than the EE and my UGQ has held up way better than the EE. It’s warmer and has held it’s loft way better. I think I’m going to go with UGQ for all the future quits I purchase.

Dan, nice vid! The next time you speak with the guys at UGQ, can you ask them why the footbox baffles are perpendicular when compared to the rest if the quilt's baffles?
@chadhoughton57955 жыл бұрын
Scott Gephart (Copied off the website) Building off of previously established chamber designs, UGQ introduced the concept of isolated chambers on the torso and foot box. This baffle layout provides for zone filling of the quilt, allowing for additional down to be placed where it’s most needed to achieve MAXIMUM comfort and function. Using a combination of vertical and horizontal chambers the BANDIT Quilt will fit you like a glove.

Great quilts! Funny to see that they use total amounts in oz, and the filling per chamber in grams. Seems confusing to use both systems :-)

Probably the fill comes in Grams. And total is given in ounces since many ameriKans are ignorant of the far better metric system.
