Had alot of hard time finding a decent video explaining how this thing work Alot of others outhere just talk and talk not showing the process or how it works Because of you I just bought it on Amazon the KVM HDMI Switch Thank you for the big help You earn my subscription

@roblatour3511 Yes, it does. In some cases, some users will utilize projectors or other visual devices, so sometimes the term is changed to visual. But in any case, it's understood as a video output, so you are correct.

I don't like that switching disconnects from the other computer. This makes switching slow. I think that it's called hot switching or emulation that will keep all computers thinking that the monitor is attached so that you can instantaneously mover from one to the other.

I understand what you mean. I use at home a Steetek that does emulate so that i can switch quickly.

Ken thank you for that review. This video proves that the device would serve the purpose I need it for BUT how did you set it up??? I have two MacBooks.. they plug in, I expect to the labeled computer ports but where does the monitor plug into???

in the back, but you will need an HDMI to USB type C cable or a USB hub to convert it to HDMI all around

I wonder if it makes disturbance between switching (I know it depends on you) I wanna use this between gaming and work pc, thanks for the nice video!

Hello Ken, i want to get this device but i have one doubt, do i need the hdmi input from the notebook as well or it can be done with only the usb-b cable? Thank you very much

Hey great question, you will need from the computer an HDMI output and a USB from each source. Now if you don't have any HDMI connections on the computer but maybe you only have USB-C outputs you can use a USB-C to HDMI cable where one end is usbc and the other is HDMI. Hope this helped.

Can i just use for the mouse and keyboard? For example: i have two monitors, but i dont want them to change! Just to control 2 pcs with one mouse and keyboard

Yeah, I think that would work, just don't plug in the monitors and just the computers and then just one mouse and keyboard would operate each computer when you pressed the button.

Do i need to have a usb for each source? i want to use to connect two videogame consoles. so i just need the hdmi. no usb

@AlejandroFantin good queation, i know you need the USB for the computers but I haven't used this on a game console so I'm not sure. If I were a betting man I would say yes you need them.
