When inducted into the military, an oath is taken "I, name, do solemnly swear (affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic..." Most veterans feel that this oath does not end. It also includes following orders. But a little known fact is that they don't have to follow illegal orders. The Oathkeepers, IMO, bastardized their oath.

I've been in the military myself. They don't take an oath to a person, they take an oath to defend the Constitution, against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Will they fulfill that oath? I don't know. I served for 4 years, and spent another 34 years as a civilian serving the military supporting the troops as an office automation clerk and processing their medical records. Trump represents everything I was trying to prevent, and when he got elected, I felt like I had been stabbed in the back, by the very people I was trying to protect. If that's what they really want, just kill me quick, so I don't have to see what happens next.

Beryl was quite a common name where I live and in my age group. Apart from real girls, when I was a kid there was Beryl the Peril causing strip cartoon havoc in 'The Beano' every week. Or was she in 'The Dandy'? I can't remember now. Dennis the Menace and Minnie the Minx completed the set. Beryl was definitely on a par with Dennis in causing trouble, and way better than Minnie.

Having my brother being murdered, I feel for her. I tell people I didn't get justice. That would mean I have my brother back. The law can't give me that. When asked if I wanted his wife to get the death penalty, my reaction was - I don't have that right, even though the law in that state says I do. In the end she was sentenced to 200 years, 100 for each murder - she killed 2 people, one of them my brother - to be served concurrently. She will be eligible for parole when she turns 99. I don't expect to be alive then, so what they do should she survive that long, I don't care.
