UH+UF Accelerator Module 5 - Session 2

The Policy Module of the Accelerator Sequence will address how all previous module themes can be implemented through urban forestry and urban heat policy and plans. Tree protection ordinances, tree preservation ordinances, subdivision regulations, stormwater regulations, development and zoning code, comprehensive plans and sub-plans, such as Climate Action Plans, are all examples of places where trees and heat can be addressed. This module will provide insight on effective structures, engagement, and implementation for policies and plans. Cities should leave with a vision and next steps for their urban forestry and urban heat policies and plans.
