BMW M40 ist ein Zweiventil-Vierzylinder-Ottomotor des bayrischen Motorenherstellers BMW, der Ende der 1980er Jahre den BMW M10 abgelöst hat. Nachfolger wurde der BMW M43.

@Thor I did not say the M40 is bad I say the M10 engine is better than M40 engine

M10B18 has only 1 nm torque less. and m40 has more problems so i prefer it too. i am driving as a folk racer and the problems i have in my m40 motor is so awful that i will swap it to a m10 when i can.
