Let me put it in focus for you. With all the idle land in Kenya why does president insist on developing internationally appealing institutions at the KU land? Here is the answer : The Northlands which is akina kenyatta's most ambitious real estate project is across the road. It targets to host the rich and the mighty so the international community working in this institutions will be forced to live at the Northlands. That way like with the sgr the kenyatta's are the immediate beneficiaries. Secondly ati settling squatters?? Nooop it's just making sure wazungu wakikuja they won't find slums anywhere near them. Lastly the organizations can be built at delmonte grabbed land and we wouldn't care. Mr president is shrewd and you cannot blame him for that but freedom is in 3weeks.

Interestingly, the proposal to have title deed for KU hospital was okayed way back, when WHO came into the picture, there seemed to be a flurry of activities which pointed to more land being ceded. Who are this Kamae Squatters ??? Some have come all the way from Ichaweri after compulsory acquisition of land for Mama Ngina University, and Ladies and Gentlemen , therein lies the answer to a hurried decision whose time span ends 8th August.

Not with land. Land is a gift from God to all who stay in this country. The Government is the custodian. Individuals and institutions lease for activities that should benefit directly or indirectly the whole country. The lessor has the responsibility to reallocate ,of course, with participation of the stake holders. In my view what the Government wants the land for is beneficial to all of us. That is my take.
