I think the point was that there was enough room to both get through, if the oncoming car wasn't driving down the middle of the space and had moved over a bit more. At least that's what it looks like. These camera lenses always mess up the angles a little. Sometimes not so easy to judge.

That bird at no.2 has got major issues. Granted I'm not a fan of anyone in a Tesla just because they're such ugly cars to the point they personally offend my renters however offensively ugly cars aside what was he supposed to do? He was nearly clear of the vehicles before she even spawned into existence and not only that he's in the middle of the road because that's what you're supposed to do if there's room. You're supposed to leave a doors width if possible in case it either opens or a kid runs out. It's even more important because he's in a stalkers car. They're all battery powered. If someone was stepping out they wouldn't know he was there until they were rolling over his bonnet like an NPC in Grand Theft Auto. Nothing he did was wrong. Even giving her the finger because I don't think anyone has deserved that as much as she did

2:35 - Those are some mega brakes on those HGV's, although the tanker driver was always going to run out of physics at that distance. I've seen 5:10 a few times and can't wrap my head around why there wasn't a point where he says 'I'm definitely too drunk to drive'. I can understand someone being over the limit, thinking they're still ok but being all over the place, even if it results in a crash. I wasn't exactly a saint in my younger days, although I was very fortunate to never have an accident. But when you're crashing into everything, there has to be a point where you realise it's gone to far.

I don't think that is drink making him erratic/losing control of the vehicle; he is deliberately aiming the vehicle with the intention of causing as much damage as possible. The drink (or whatever it was) has lowered his inhibitions to the point where he has decided to do it on purpose. Even allowing for his inebriated state, he isn't thinking "these are unfortunate accidents that I should stop causing", more "I need to do as much damage as possible".

He was arrested and bail for drink driving - I don't think it's gone to trial yet as can't see any updates. It happened in High Wycombe at the start of June.

The driver of the white DAF that hit the Mini would've seen the Mini if he had his mirrors adjusted properly. Look how far his side mirror is bent down. You should just see a couple of milimeters of your own vehicle in your mirrors. Every square inch of mirror in which you see your own vehicle is lost real estate in which you could see other vehicles and people. Also, I just can't stand how no one intervenes towards the van driver that's on a rampage. Plenty of opportunities to jump through the window and take out the keys.

That mini driver was mostly at fault in my eyes. We don't see the start back further enough on the video but what we do see is the mini driver passing on the left, matching the speed of the lorry and sitting in the middle lane when he should have moved over to the left.

@2:29. Once overtaking the vehicles in the nearside lane the Mini should have moved to the left and not cruised the lane. I've driven all kinds of vehicles in my time and the rule I've been taught is once I've overtaken I pull over to the nearside. Blind spots have increased with vehicle design, cars used to have a mirror installed on the wind just behind the headlights, the same with trucks that had the engine out front and the gearbox under the floor boards. At 17 my father had me ride in trucks to see their side of driving, I was driving a 3 ton Ford Trader in London 6 months after passing my car test. Trucks now have London cabs with a window fitted in the lower section of the passenger door, to see cyclists and the odd Uber cab. Car drivers please give trucks a wide berth and remember they bring the stuff you need to live.

without a rear view it's hard to say, and we can't clearly hear the indicator either. I've had situations where I've overtaken, and before I've managed to get far enough ahead of the vehicle to my left, someone has cut in and started to undertake. obviously, you can't move over until there's enough stopping distance between you and the car on the left, and it's also not safe to move over when you can see someone trying to undertake.

@@kieranbeecroft8414 not necessarily, unless the truck was used for London deliveries and had the London required ‘blind spot radar’ fitted. If you are in a car on the left hand side of the truck in a position just by or slightly in front of the front wheel it is quite likely that the driver will not see you if conventional mirrors are fitted. Some newer trucks now have cameras fitted instead of mirrors and these give a wider field of view.

The bicycle is in the bike and it is not against the law for a cyclist to use their mobiles as the law only refers to motor vehicles. It is unwise to use your mobile whilst cycling but it is not illegal.

"You're on camera!" is a weasely way of saying "I'm scared of confronting you". Just avoid trouble or report it if you have the film.
