@TetanusBooster We _were_ watching this not knowing what was about to happen. But we, or at least I, could see that there was an obvious reason to hang back until the other driver had stopped being stupid. Now there's insurance and repairs to deal with that could have been avoided and I doubt that if the insurance companies saw footage, they would side with the driver of the camera car. You can obviously argue that the other driver caused the accident, but you can also argue that the camera car could have avoided the accident. Either way, insurance for both of them will go up.

#10, the video tells a story of you overtaking an empty space and not a HGV, an impatient and aggressive driver that seen a space you could use like the highway code states (drive in lane 1 unless overtaking (overtaking imaginary vehicles doesnt count)), and then you fail to make a safe braking zone to the aggressive car after they have undertaken you. because of your ego you ran into the back of them, wasting your time and the time of other drivers around you, damaging your vehicle, needing to go through the process of a claim. all of that could have been avoided if you had just given way, even if you had priority, to avoid the incident. story ends. fault overall lies mostly with the other car, a small amount of fault is with the cam driver.

For the FedEx truck driver it was a point of principle; yes, he could have backed off the throttle for a moment and allowed the container wagon in to lane one but, you must understand, honour is at stake. We get this a lot on the M42 and A14 where they even use lane two when in the 7 1/2 tonne restricted area, totally selfish.
