Join us for a days Plaice fishing along the south east coastline, I am joined by Steve Perry, Gem Stapleton & Stuart Jones.
It was a beautiful day and lucky we managed to get into a few early winter Plaice, as with all my videos I offer out lots of hints, tips and advice.

@@TheShoreHunter no worries, I was using my saltist at weekend and it was working fine, then I blew it up and was reeling in like I had chewed the cogs up. Anyway ….. I watched this video on return and thought yes! Il send it to Wayne’s man. But…… I’ve now taken it apart, cleaned and rocket fuelled and it works 👌. Problem was anti reverse dog. Luckily I had a spare. Thanks again, and keep up the good work. 🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣

Great to see some nice orange spotties on camera in the sun! Almost a dustbin lid for Steve. Being fairly new to your channel what is that material you use under your reel? I assume it's to grip the spool with when powercasting. I tried some octopus cricket bat grip in the past but found it too thick.

Lucky man or should I say I'm unlucky when it comes to flatfish I have never landed one I've hooked several over the years I even took a m8 fishing and I had to do everything even cast out and bait up anyway first cast 20 minutes nout I caught a couple wrasse and I said let's check your bait and he wound in a plaice as big as the one you caught except fat so 2lb+ then I hooked one a few minutes later it was a 3rd the size it fought like made then dropped off my hook as I was swinging it in over the pier railings, so I don't know if technically I have caught a flatfish or not?

One thing that I now love about the Internet especially KZbin is us anglers can now share information and swop stories and educate eachother all right here, when I started fishing was mid 80s and everything I knew coming up in years was taught by my grandad or dad and john Wilson sea anglers magazine and the occasional others I'd see out fishing, that might sound like alot of information and yes it is but it took many many years going through many curves of learning, you youngsters today with your weefi lol.. in MY DAY.
