UK Border Force

Күн бұрын

A piece of scrub land in Calais has been nicknamed the jungle. It’s where “clandestines” lie in wait to sneak on to trucks heading for Britain. We film in the jungle to find out why, after travelling thousands of miles, the immigrants want to go the extra mile to get into Britain and not just stay in Europe. We film with the teams whose job it is to search trucks to stop this illegal human traffic.
Also, an enforcement team in Stoke find illegal workers at a car wash firm who claim they’re 15 years old. One of the car washers we discover was recently removed from Britain to Iran after taking part in a Home Office scheme called Assisted Voluntary Repatriation. He pocketed £500 cash and a free flight. He came straight back to Britain through Calais on the back of a truck.

@@armitaara8986 You know, there's a civilized way to say the very same thing, even you can learn how despite using much more words. Check this out: "The problem with war ridden or corruption ridden countries is that every ounce of effort common citizens do to improve their communities in every level is undermined or utterly destroyed by robbers, corrupt officers or warlords. EU, US, UN through it's many organizations day in, day out spend millions in aid, and companies seek to invest under the local laws to profit and create jobs there, but end up dealing with the corrupt elites (please read about the latest Angola Papers, the case of Isabel dos Santos is emblematic regarding this) and/or having their facilities blown up by radicals fighting the "filthy coloniser". The common person grows tired of fighting to no avail and ends up deciding to gamble with their lives moving to another country, at any cost, knowing they have no chance to enter legally due to lack of money, skills and sometimes even proper documents. I don't condone illegal immigration, but certainly understand why they've given up their countries".

Then I took my gf and her family to London for a few days.. Then my phone rings and it’s Sue From Gatwick asking me was I having a good time. I was in Scotland by then lol So when I fly to the UK I always go to Gatwick to see my girls lol they spoil me on the plane. Sydney is very friendly...but now they always search me because they saw powder on my top and handbag. They couldn’t understand why nothing was showing up. So I went up to them and said what are you looking for? They said I have white powder blah blah lol I laughed and said it’s going to take me 36hrs to where I was going so I put powder under my arms boobs bum so everything stays dry. LOL I think they felt stupid for searching for so long. USA was less Secure than all the airports. I left on their 1yr anniversary for 9/11 We were the only plane that left LAX on 9/11 @ 10pm and arrived in Sydney on Friday the 13th lol my poor mum was sick thinking about it. Might be cheaper to hire security guard to ride in back of trucks instead of getting the fine
@skaizun
@skaizun 3 жыл бұрын
@@lauras3666 The series indicates that drivers and their companies get fines, but, they never say what percentage of the fines were actually paid (i.e., they may appeal and have the citations reduced or tossed altogether, or they, simply, ignore the citations, though, granted, the latter, potentially, risks additional charges). And, as any truck driver anywhere in the world will tell you, they may not get paid or get underpaid for their work by malevolent companies, so, hiring a security guard for the back of the truck would not be in their best interest (i.e., better to risk having someone jump in than the driver or company pay for an extra body). Furthermore, most trucks are loaded to their brims, making it very difficult to put a legal individual in there, never mind the lack of comfort, even for a short trip (i.e., from the "jungle" to the port); plus, there's the risk that the guard might be bribed/coerced. It would be far cheaper and simpler to mount electronic motion/heat detectors in the cargo area, of which any alarm would be seen and/or heard by the driver AND the company, such that, if the driver is bribed/coerced and ignores the warning, the company could alert immigration about it; of course, if the company is bribed/coerced . . . ;)

Ilovelosangeles it does seem like a dog trying to catch its tail. But without proper ID, you have no country of origin to return them. I’ve become somewhat addicted to watching these videos because I see both sides clearly: there are laws that require adherence to but then there are people desperately seeking a better life because of a lack of opportunity or government stability. Just breaks my heart - except for the druggies or violent criminals.

actually this is the way to extend your stay in country. if the office cannot find your passport, they cannot deport you since they don't know your country. If they have no biometric info in their system, welcome to the new country. let's say you speak in Arabic and they wanna deport you. so they need to write to all Arabic-spoken countries and ask information about you. if you think about the number of the cases, this is impossible.

You don't need a chip, finger prints or iris scan is enough, its cheaper. But thats not problem is not that. Afghanistan or Pakistan government will ask for identification papers (passport or any other valid documents) to issue a temporary travel documents for them to be deported back, else they will claim, how do we know these guys are afghans/pakistanies. If an afghan gives a verbal identification that he is from Japan, do you think japan will accept him. Japan will ask for identification papers to accept him which UK/France cannot produce with only verbal identification or lets say video documentation. Governments only accept their own identification provided to citizens, citizens themselves cannot create identification without authorization from their respective Governments.

I did subcontract work in the ICE section at Atlanta-Hartsfield airport updating their computers, and boy many of them think they are God almighty. The irony is that most of that many are black or Hispanic decent. They were probably high school bullies that enjoy inflicting humiliation/suffering to others. One Mexican family on their way to Orlando for a vacation were denied entry because the husband was asked by immigration if he would ever consider working in the US. He replied, in English, it would be something he would consider, since all the family lives in Mexico. Right there and then, they refused him, his wife and two children entry into the country. I could tell they were upper-middle class people. But the worse was the children reaction, they broke out crying they would not be going to Disney. The officer was of Cuban heritage. There was many more, but that one in particular was heartbreaking. The Mexican family had no criminal or overstay history.
