A gentleman? Maybe, but a rather dull and self-important one. He said "I'm a magistrate" about eight times. And not too bright either compared with the Irish lass who followed him. She was was a lot sharper - and had a sense of humour.

@cockle69er The UK version of Candid Camera started in 1960. It returned in 1974 with the colour episode pranks that I've uploaded. The crew filmed in many locations in the UK including Margate and Portsmouth. A lot of the stunts were done in South West London in areas such as Richmond Upon Thames and Tolworth. I'm no expert although I did get info on the show from Arthur Atkins who worked on it. Let me know if you need more info and I will see if I can help.

He’s a good chap, even in this particular situation, he behaved like a gentleman, no bad language/swearing, and courteous to the end. This was typical of the Rolls Royce owner in the 1970s.......Today in 2023, I wouldn’t be so sure. Times and peoples manners and attitudes have changed.

I remember one where they took the engine out of a Ford Popular and coasted down the hill into a garage. The driver asked the mechanic there to look at the engine but of of course he couldn't find one and even looked in the boot.
