Kanami is very meticulous when writing songs and ensures the focus isn’t always on lead guitar. Everyone will have a turn to have the focus on them.

Their instrumentals work so well because the melody is still represented well throughout - only it's Kanami and MISA that are taking turns carrying it.

What a coincidence! Today (Nov.26, Japan time) is the day when Band-Maid's biggest show is going to be held in Yokohama Arena (capa. Max.17,000). My wife and I have ticket to it 😍 and we are looking forward to this song played there.

I’ve been a music fan since I was in diapers, playing along with Elvis songs, whacking an empty oat container with wooden spoons. Now that I’m once again approaching diaper age, I can say that Band Maid writes the finest, most entertaining instrumental songs ever

The band are all seasoned heavy hitters, while Miku, the rhythm guitarist, only started a few years ago. Still doing a wonderful job at it. But when she starts her solo, after a few bars, the rest of the band comes in and take her sound to a thunderous level. It's like they hoist her up on their shoulders and make her part as important as theirs. To me it's the very friendship of Band-Maid, coming alive in their music.

40plus years ago I crewed for local Seatte party band, If Missa was to ask me to haul a brick base cab up a flight of stairs I would try to do it. Oh and that brcik cab idea comes from the very first bass player for the U-Men who asked me about that when I was 25 I was gonna say sure until II learned she had just turned 17.

I grew up with instrumentals so I'll take an instrumental any day of the week. In fact since I can't speak Japanese, it makes every Band-Maid song in an instrumental. Lyrics are what real musicians trip over to get to their instruments...

The other 2 easily available instrumentals are: DON'T BE LONG kzbin.info/www/bejne/rZ-yZIF3mJWpgtk and the even-more-amazing-than-ONSET and most recent instrumental FROM NOW ON kzbin.info/www/bejne/l2e9hKmjo9CGZpI . They have included extras on DVD's of instrumental versions of most of their songs but for those you'll have to look elsewhere.

Band-Maid always brings an ONSET of love, appreciation and happiness to their viewers. Why? Because they're so damn good -- good-natured, good-hearted, good-looking, and beyond good as writers, players and performers. Wow, right?! Thx, Joely!

Kanami's instrumental compositions are structured songs rather than just a groove for the solo instruments to play over. The lead and sometimes the bass take the melody role and you don't feel like something is missing. Check out From Now On and Without Holding Back. They're both as much fun as Onset.

Band-Maid has quite a few instrumentals. Some were written as instrumentals, and others are variations of tracks that typically feature Saiki. Then there's Play, which started as an instrumental, but Saiki wanted to sing to it, so she asked Miku to write her some lyrics. Two other noteworthy instrumental tracks are Without Holding Back and From Now On.

Well, glad you thoroughly enjoyed one of Saiki's Pee Break song. 😛 This song is like a technical demonstration of how strong this band is, be it by musical composition or by ability on their instruments. It gives Saiki a rest for her really-precious voice, is a totally show-off moment for the rest of the band, and truly an absolute delight to watch. Sigh, how I wish they'd come down to Singapore to perform.....

I've never said this to another guy before, but did you do something new with your hair? Either way, another great choice, can't really be a bad choice with this group. If you can find a live version of their instrumental Without Holding Back to listen to, you won't be disappointed. The MV version is OK too of course.
