Not only does Angelina have the most interesting, most flexible voice, most beautiful voice, but she interprets lyrics better than anyone I’ve heard. Her breathiness on the “go easy on me” lines fits musically, lyrically, and emotionally. As does her non-breathy power on the lyrics that address the frustration of the situation. This is one of Angelina’s most stunning covers. How does anyone sing this as well as Angelina when they don’t have the tools that she does?

Having known Angelina since she was a tiny girl I find it not surprising how far her journey is taking her or how far she will go, what she will achieve. Even as a very little girl the voice you hear now was already there. I repeat myself when I point this out to people. I remember her singing a song for me in a living room setting just two feet in front of me. She must have been only five years old. It was a Billie Holiday song. By the way Billie Holiday is her first and greatest influence as she herself has said. She listened from her grandmother’s LP collection and virtually wore the old Jazz records out, especially those of Billie Holiday. When she sang for me there the sophisticated vibrato was already there. The power was there. The intonation. The control of volume and perfect pitch control. Of course her voice has grown but the basic of the voice was already there. She is a pure and dear spirit who pulls the essence of song out of the river of music that flows through the universe. Even walking with her in one of the parks in Oslo when she was small and her holding my hand she would be jumping, joking like the little girl she was but then when we sat down on a bench she would suddenly grow serious and start into a Jazz ballad and I would sit stunned as she sang it like someone who had been singing for thirty years. I have been lucky to have been an audience of one for her singing for me many times over the years and I would not trade this for anything. She is a being of pure love and music. She intuitively understood and understands the nature of each song she sings. Besides all this she is the most kindhearted, humble, and empathetic soul I have ever known my entire life. I cherish her and her music. Of all the things I have experienced in my life knowing her is the most profound and precious gift. Now the world can share this gift of song she offers. There is no ceiling to the heights she can achieve. She is an antidote to all the misery in our world and all the mean heartedness of so many people these days. She is a dear and loving soul. No one else like her. Thank you for your excellent reaction. It is easy to see how much you love her singing.

I litterly have no words how she makes it. But i've seen a lot of reaction with her and i see a pattern. Eigher people get tears in their eys or you see the biggest smiles you ever seen. She have an increddiable way to reach into our deepest part of our souls and just shake the feelings out of it. In my almost 50 years i've never seen an artist do that over and over again. Angelina has a great deal of respect for Adele, when she was 5 years old she sang Rolling in the deep. Somehow Adele writes songs, that in some way, Angelina can put her own interpretation, adding depth and texture the the original. When Angelina sang Summertime in the NGT final one of the judges marveled at how an 8 year old could produce such a rendition, he was trying to imagine how she would sound at age 18, even today, I feel that he could never have imagined how far she would develop by the age of 15 - watch this space...

when she was a little tyke, I wanted to just hug her. Now, as she's growing up, I feel like I want to walk along with her, along with about 8-10 big dudes surrounding her, keeping watch over her. This might sound corny, but I do find peace knowing that her mother is ever by her side. There's no one that loves you like your mom. I've seen videos of them, as a family, and it's clear they are all close and she has always been nurtured and loved. I just fear the wolves of the entertainment industry will throw money, glitz, fashion, fame and famous people at her, appealing to so many things that are inherently appealing to teenagers, trying to lull her away into bad activities and associations. Look what happened to Whitney Houston. When she first came onto the scene, a teenager, her voice was so pure and powerful. She was extraordinary. But then she met, Lord forgive me, that loser, Bobby Brown. I know that's judgmental of me. But the correlation between her brightest apex and her downfall was him. Drugs and bad living with a "playuh" destroyed her. I honestly pray Angelina remains smart, pure, wise. The blue contact lenses give me a bit of concern. I see her in a tight dress, showing her body. She's a baby at 15, even though she is wise for her years, and has great poise. But lots of money can be a powerful pull. Thank goodness she's a good girl and has a very close relationship with her mom. I wonder why her dad isn't seen/mentioned but mostly her grandpa being her most mentioned father figure. Idk. Maybe that's just my inference. Sorry I went on so long.

How is Angelina able to produce more soul reaching ability doing covers of Adele's ballads? The short answer is that she is a true jazz singer, whereas being a great non-jazz singer, which Adele is, makes her unable to produce the same penetration into the heart that Angelina does. Not since Amy Winehouse, who was the most uniquely different jazz singer of all time, has anyone redefined the genre until Angelina came along. She is, without a doubt, the reigning Queen Of Jazz and has been for some time now.
