You should check out 3 yrs before on her first performance on Norway's Got Talent. BTW the reason she does not wear shoes...... Based on the true story of when she was six years old, Angelina met a homeless, shoeless girl. After they talked for a long time, she gave the girl her shoes and vowed never to appear on stage again wearing shoes until all the world's children had them. Since that time, Angelina has always performed barefoot in public.

Indeed Angelina kills it every time. She is the most accomplished child vocalist of all time, yet most don't know her....... yet. We continue to be patient, allowing Angelina and her family all the time they feel necessary before having Republic Records promote her. Angelina has concerts in Norway on June 22 (likely only a couple songs) and on July 1, 7 and 10.

This is a ten year old phenom that is absolutely fearless performing live, in front of a live audience. She did that while working with a full live band all while singing in perfect pitch putting forth a flawless, consummate professional performance that a great many seasoned veteran singers wish they could do.

I thoroughly agree. I have become more and more impressed by her musical genius, and I am one of those who think the word "genius" is far overused, and I have never before called a singer "genius." She may in the end be more than a once in a lifetime talent, but once in a century, or perhaps half millenium. She is a Mozart of singing..

Yes! Her vocals are insane. 😊 but I equally love her musical arrangements. If you notice, the music always sounds amazing. I think you should watch some of her rehearsals in order to get a better understanding of her incredible musicality. There's a video in which she corrects one of the musicians by saying, very politely, that a particular note should have been half a note higher and he simply smiles. Which means that as she is singing, somehow her brain is able to hear every note from every instrument, and it's able to detect irregularities, down to half a note. Unbelievable. She must have been around 8.

Most consider Nina Simone's version of this song to be 'The Gold Standard'. That being said, I can only say that to my ears, Angelina's presentation has to be 'The Platinum Standard'. Not only her vocals but the arrangement she dictated to the orchestra was simply genius. No wonder that in Norway The KORK Orchestra refer's to her as 'The Boss' when they accompanied her.

I watched an interview with Ivan Mendez the guitarist that looks a little like her in a million years ago, and other early covers. He talked about the process of her early covers. He would go to her house. Hang with her family maybe eat, then they would go and discuss what they would like to try. In many of these early covers she is glancing of to the side to check the lyrics. These are not rehearsed again and again to get that wonderful feeling. They are quite spontaneous. Often they would listen to the song through and then we see is them playing with it. Unbelievably. He said the family was relaxed. Obviously they wanted it to be fun for her. She naturally worked hard.

Have heard some of the "greats" sing this but her version is unique and my favorite. She has at least 3 recordings of this song and they each vary a bit to accommodate the different accompaniment and perhaps evolving over time. All are spectacular.

If you let people listen to just the audio, I do not think anyone would guess this is a 10 year old, live on stage doing this in one take. This an amazing performance with a beautiful build up to the big blast at the end with so many wonderful things happening on the way and throughout. When Angelina performs live on stage it seems to bring out the best in her and in turn she pulls the rest of the band along with her to great heights. It is great to see her be so happy on stage and smile like that at the end.

Great reaction, Recky! You should start calling them Reckyactions. This was recorded December 30, 2016 for The Stream Gir Tilbake (The Stream Gives Back) on TV2 in Norway at Chateau Neuf in Oslo with almost 1,000 people in the audience and hundreds of thousands of TV viewers. Angelina, Marion Ravn (a Norwegian singer-songwriter) and Magnus Grønneberg (lead singer with the Norwegian rock band CC Cowboys) were the featured performers. The Stream, in collaboration with Plan International Norway (PIN), sponsored the show to increase the number of sponsors for PIN and to give children and young people throughout the world a better future. Once again, Angelina was using her immense talent and huge humanitarian heart to fulfill one of her goals - helping children all over the world.

I would just point out that, in my estimation, from age 10 onward she is good enough to be compared to any other adult singer regardless of age. Its not "how good is she for a 10 yearold", but just "how good is she!".

Recky, thank you for doing the reaction to this. I think this is one of her top performances at 10 years old along with a few others. Playing with a professional full orchestra of adults only accentuates her vocals. It doesn't appear that she follows them. They follow her! The final part of this song is so overwhelming and unexpected that I think it would blow anyone's mind who heard it for the first time. I'm looking forward to more of your reactions and live streams.

Thank you for another grand reaction to my favourite singer and for posting a link to both the original song and to Angelina's Official KZbin channel. If every Reactor did the same, my blood pressure would be considerably lower:-) There are so many things I get from this performance. (1) The realisation that at the age of 10 Angelina has shed all childishness from her voice. (2) A feeling that the placement of the spotlight at the beginning of her performance was deliberate. If it was, then, to my mind, it was a brilliant move. (3) The fact that Angelina arranged this song and that the band kept out of the way and let her voice be the focus. (4) The incredible low note she sang for the word "good" at the beginning and end of the performance. (5) That wonderful crescendo at the end. (6) The was Angelina used her left arm and hand throughout the performance (7) The way she changed the microphone from her right hand to left, and so that she could flip her hair back with her right hand. (8) The cheeky smile she gave to the cameraman when she realised he had focused on her at about 3.22 in your reaction video. (9) The almost instantaneous switch from "performance" mode to that of a young child who,curseyed and gave a sweet smile to the audience as an acknowledgement of their applause. Others have commented that the performance by Nina Simone should be considered the "gold" standard for this song. Until recently, I had never watched her performance, but have now done so. They just cannot be compared, for Angelina's arrangement is totally different
