The womens tilt pulls should've been done with both of them standing level I think, since there wasn't the same size and weight disparity between the female contenders and Gladiators as there was with the men and the Gladiators!!!!!!

Also in GAUNTLET Gary was constantly crawling on his hands & knees throughout that run, good thing they changed the rules for next year, maybe this GAUNTLET was used to see what unfair advantages the players might use

Wow the early Gauntlet was rubbish, it’s too wide for starters and all three gladiators having a ram rod makes it harder to hold the contender back, it’s much better with 5 Gladiators and having a mix of pads and ram rods

The gauntlet debuted the same year that American Gladiators debuted that event. We had pyramid and whiplash as well that year. Warrior got mad on the 1st run, I bet he was upset when he lost his cross beam?

@@BenjyDale I heard some kind of questionnaire people answered supposed determined they were the least popular ones. :( Even if that was true though, it was still appalling to get rid of them, given how Gladiators was still wildly popular with them in it!!! And personally, I think Hunter was a rehash of Hawk anyway, the way how they both looked similar, had similar names, and even the same theme music!!! I could've imagined Flame and phoenix being popular too, with their distinctive looks!!! I mean these days, I often think there's something special about redheaded women!!!!

​​@@BenjyDalethey were the least popular of the original team... it a huge shame they were dropped. Again it was the debut season so things were probably going to be changed. Flame returned to the Sky Gladiators for the Legends challenge... she now blonde. However we never got to see Phoenix or Hawk return, but Pheonix has done a podcast on her experience.. I think it was with Jet.. They were 3 of my favourite in the original series.

SPOILER ALERT Feel so sorry for Gary, his legs had completely gone by the travelator, but it made for an exciting final. In truth neither male contender was top notch, but the woman who won had something about her, I predict she'll go out in semis.

This was the 6th Heat originally aired. It's possible that it was the 3rd Heat filmed, but it was aired as Heat 6 (some programmes usually air out of order anyway, as evident in some episodes of the Australian Gladiators series, e.g. Series 1 Heat 7 was the first Heat filmed).

Mark Cutter was spot on with his answer there Tim.Although Jean and Tracey / Dean and Rik won heats five and six respectively and therefore should've been taking part in Quarter Final 3 instead of Quarter Final 2,Whilst Mandy and Helen / Brian and Roddy who won heats three and four,should of been taking part in Quarter Final 2 - not Quarter Final 3.For some reason Quarter Finals Two and Three got swapped

The weakest group of 4 contenders in this season. The men weren't paired up that well in the heats. Rick went through because he had an easy opponent whereas others more worthy faced tougher opponents and got eliminated.
