Finally, there is no word called savings😂

Just to add the percentage of people who earn 100k GBP p.a gross pay were very few as most of the white collar jobs won’t pay 100K except finance, insurance and Banking sectors and that too high end roles. Except for GPs/dentists/consultants, those who work in public sectors such as NHS, University and civil service can never earn £100K per year even if they are close to retirement age.
