Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey of the legendary rock band The Who have appeared on stage together for the first time in years.
They presented an ambitious all-star production of their Mod film classic Quadrophenia for tens of thousands of fans at a charity concert in London's Hyde Park.
Daltrey appeared on stage despite being injured during final rehearsals for the concert.
Guest of honour at the concert in aid of the Prince's Trust for disadvantaged children was the founder of the trust himself - Prince Charles.
He was met by Scottish comedian Billy Connolly.
The event was packed with celebrities including Mick Jagger who has played in the past with his band The Rolling Stones in Hyde Park.
Around 150-thousand people crowded into the London park for Saturday's concert.
The Prince was in jovial mood as he watched members of The Who perform.
The band were on stage together for the first time in years and presented an ambitious all-star production of their Mod film classic Quadrophenia.
Singer Roger Daltrey showed up wearing a colourful eye-patch - but for a good reason.
He was injured during final rehearsals on Friday when veteran glam rocker Gary Glitter got carried away and swung his microphone stand around his head.
The Who front man suffered a swollen lip and a black eye - but that didn't stop him from performing Saturday.
SOUNDBITE:
A little bit of a run-in with a microphone stand being swung by Mr. Gary Glitter. My fault entirely because I was standing behind him and he didn't know I was there and he swung it round his head and the foot of the stand, which luckily had a lump of rubber on it, smashed the bone that holds the eye in place. I'm alright. I'll be alright but if it didn't have the rubber on it I'd be dead because it would have gone through the eye. What a great rock 'n' roll ending: killed by one of your idols!

SOUNDBITE:
Glitter: I've been already getting into the role a little bit too much, actually. You may have seen some of the press.
Fry: Was it in the press today?
Glitter: Oh, a lot of press today and I'm just going to work out with Roger because he's wearing a patch. You know we had an accident on stage. These things happen.
Fry: He was assaulted by Sir Garfield Glitter here who just threw a mike stand at his face. Extraordinary.

Charles personally thanked the artists for performing and raising more than 750 thousand dollars for his charity.
