UK motorcycle roads: Wye Valley, Wales

Great Western Roads: 2. A466 - The Wye Valley, Chepstow to Monmouth.
Second video in this series reviewing some of my personal favourite motorcycling roads and routes in South Wales and south-west England.
Once more across the original Severn Bridge to Wales, this is a run along the Wye Valley. A popular and exceptionally beautiful scenic route that offers motorcycles a relaxed touring ride up into the Forest of Dean.
Shot with a GoPro Hero 5 Session; KZbin compression and lowered bit-rate mean what you see here isn't representative of the quality this tiny device can achieve.

Before anybody else complains about the music please consider these things: 1. I shot these using a single GoPro mounted on my helmet. All this records is wind noise, which is very unpleasant to listen to. To record engine and other ambient sounds would require multiple microphones which I don't have. The voiceover was added later. Without the music to hold it together there'd just be dead silence - or shrieking wind blast - which would be quite odd. 2. I know the music isn't great, but cheesy library music is all it seems you can get away with. If I used better music I'd just get a copyright strike against the video and the audio would be muted anyway (I've tried). So, sorry if it offends you, but please don't feel that I need to be told (again) how much the music annoys you.

You've missed the best part. The upper Wye Valley from Hay on Wye to Rhayader and then the Elan Valley is definitely worth the extra hour or two. Stunning scenery and fast flowing roads. Please try it some time.

I live in Chepstow and the Monmouth Road. I do a lot in the summer. The road you took to the right took you back into England 🇬🇧 but it's amazing road just like a few in the F.O.D If you took a laft and headed off towards land soy that is another amazing road to ride . Really enjoying your videos

This is one of my local rides and I love riding it. The road actually crosses the Wales/England border several times. Can't wait for better weather. Cheers.

Best race of my life was on that road . I was on a 1978 z1000 with a big bore kit , vs ,cbr 900. When they first came out .

Use to ride this every Sunday in the summer of 1988 to 1993 just to have a few pints in the Boat Inn.

I often ride this road to the roundabout and turn around and go back but it's best done not to fast to really enjoy it 👍

Cracking video, nice one and thanks. You mentioned the GoPro struggling with change of contrast, I think thats something all of us GoPro users suffer with. I have a GoPro 7 Black and film in 4k 30fps, Protune on and flat profile, this does help but does not completely remove the pixelation on playback. Although its a huge file I upload at a minimum of 1440 but in the main I upload as 4k, as I said huge files but better playback quality when watching on a TV rather than PC/Mac or phone. Ash from Wye Valley, Wales. November 21, 2022, Edinburgh, High Street Hostel. Does anyone know an Ash from Wye Valley? She was one of the 'monitors' in the following incident. SIS and Crown representatives came to my Hostel tonight around 5pm. 2 of them (male and female), plus 3 very dark females from hostel (Ash). They went out in shame, but still shaken up and concerned about their next attack. Have got family to look after. The Asian woman sat staring at her phone, the whole evening. Didn't even look up. Was she being forced to watch child abuse on her phone all night? Possibly her own? With the other '666' females (Ash) sat around her giving off a LOT of tension. Were they monitoring her for distress signals? He (the Western 'husband') was keeping an eye on her to make sure she watched the whole thing on her phone. Meanwhile, he pretends to be the Dutch cool guy from Holland who wants to watch the world Cup and make friends. Heroin smugglers from Rotterdam (living in New Zealand) who are championed by the English Crown was what everyone was understanding from the non-vebal conversation. Others in the hostel were also shaken up. They are flying all over the world delivering heroin and other hard drugs? The Crown, Mi7 and police sit back and smile as they know what's happening, but do nothing. Funny, as I saw the same Asian woman with the dark Asian girl here at breakfast (Rebecca). Did they put something in my coffee too, which I left unattended, as still feel wired at 8pm this evening? They fly into Amsterdam tomorrow 22 November at 7pm, then train to Rotterdam. Military should arrest them. Shameful. I am a law abiding person. This is serious abuse, and illegal from British Crown and SIS. Totally unacceptable. Ash is from the Wye Valley area, so someone should ask her about this.

Comments like this are one of the reasons I've given up posting on here. I'm just an amateur, experimenting with making video. Sorry if you object but you could always watch something else. Yes, it's crappy library music but use anything else and video gets blocked with copyright strike. Probably won't bother making any more so you're spared further distress.
