So there's the crux. Lammy knows what Starmer's stance is, as he's made that quite clear since Oct 7 and has backed his leader. Knowing this, he's now suggesting arms sales could be blocked and objections withdrawn, in the knowledge that Starmer will not agree. Pointing the finger at Starmer, therefore implying that there's a rift. This could mean, in the near future that there's a Labour revolt, as there will probably be other issues as well. It could be that Starmer doesn't last a full term. One can only dream.
