❣Jimin “Set Me Free Pt.2’, it’s everything & more then I could hope for, Jimin’s amazing artistry, his so beyond spectacular,, so mesmerizing, phenomenal performance! The song, Jimin’s vocals, his dancing, the amazing choreography, also the amazing backup dancers, the lyrics he wrote, the music he composed as well as being involved in the production! Jimin was hands on, involved with every facet with this song as well as the rest of his FACE album! No wonder the in-house legendary producer for BigHit Pdogg, who worked with Jimin throughout the whole album, stated that “in 2023 K-pop will be ended by Park Jimin”! Seeing this made me that much more excited, for the full album, Jimin’s “FACE” released on March 24, along with his main song ‘Like Crazy’ MV. Though Jimin’s song ‘Set Me Free Pt.2’, blew me away , meeting all my expectations & then some, I was also not totally surprised, because indeed Jimin is now ‘set free’ from the confines of being part of a group, to now be able to open up full throttle and ‘finally’ be able to release all that he held back for so many yrs! Jimin has been involved in every facet of creating this album! Hands on all the way, perfectionist that he is, including writing lyrics, composing, as well as being heavily involved in production! Jimin’s true, real, inner self will be finally seen in all its raw, authentic, amazing, heartfelt, passionate, emotional, sincere glory! This is aside from Jimin’s full range, hardly ever being shown, aside from high notes, but being finally able to show his full registry, mid range as well as lower registry as well! I’ve always been so frustrated not being able to see as well as hear Jimin’s full capacity of talent. So often not being fully taken advantage of, but that comes with being part of a group, that has every single member having so much talent that it’s been so limiting for Jimin, especially him being so selfless, making a point of having others shine before himself. Now the spotlight will be just on him! Though we’ve seen Jimin’s amazingly spectacular, so mesmerizingly outstanding solo performances before. That actually caught me off guard that you could read the German phrase on his body. It's a German Poem: "Ich lebe mein Leben in wachsenden Ringen, die sich über die Dinge ziehn. Ich werde den letzten vielleicht nicht vollbringen, aber versuchen will ich ihn. Jimin had a long and difficult journey for loving himself, playing with his différents "faces" /images/filters. He recently said : "« "Set Me Free Pt.2 was created when I was feeling lost and depressed. I was determined to overcome those feelings and had lots of those thoughts. It's a song that contains a lot of my emotions from then. Just like how we overcome challenges and get lost again. There are things we can't escape from as if we're on a hamster wheel. Set me free is a track off Yoongi's (Suga) mix tape... so Jimin called his Set me Free pt 2.... its what they sometimes do... Jhope has a track called Airplane... so the group called one of their solo tracks Airplane Pt 2....

Set me free was an Interlude by Agust D on his D-2 album. It is not a continuation of that song, but Jimin is acknowledging it by calling his pt 2. The mv shows Jimin's struggle to break free as the dancers keep pulling him back and Jimin even walks into the spiral at the beginning. To me, this shows how when we try to break free from whatever we are dealing with, outside forces pull us back in, and sometimes we self-sabotage and pull ourselves back in, too. In the end, after everything collapses, Jimin arises free, like a Phoenix from the ashes. IMO, sometimes things get worse, and everything has to fall apart before you can truly be free.

Básicamente, se trata de un diseño arquitectónico para una prisión en la que todas las celdas están dispuestas en torno a una torre central de vigilancia. Desde esa torre, un guardia puede observar a todos los reclusos sin ser visto, creando así una sensación de constante supervisión y control. La idea detrás del panóptico es que la mera posibilidad de ser observado en todo momento sería suficiente para disuadir a los reclusos de comportarse mal, lo que a su vez reduciría la necesidad de emplear medidas disciplinarias más coercitivas. I have been circling for thousands of years, and I still don't know: am I a falcon, a storm, or a great song? The going insane to stay sane is a callback to the BTS track on kinetic manifesto from map of the soul 7 (2020) … the promotion and tour for that album was cancelled due to Covid. But it also had strong anthemic qualities and used the same choreographer sienna lalau… The butterfly metaphor for fragility and transformation has been used many times in BTS songs… with V’s release today of his layover album all of the members have done official solo releases Jin and hobi are already enlisted, Suga and rm are expected to follow soon… jungkook is still expected to do an album release towards November… the last three members are expected to enlist before year end, allowing for a 2025 reunion not sure if you have delved into rm’s album indigo yet but it is well worth listening too…

Or perhaps you should look at his interviews and explanation of the song. The song itself is not written to express his beginning of his career. His album is personal to him as it discusses the feelings he face through the pandemic, battling depression, and not being able to be on stage..therefore turning to drinking. His album has nothing to do with his solo journey..it’s his feelings. Stop trying to make it seem like idols don’t have feelings. It’s not a victim narrative..it’s his feelings. Imagine getting online and trying to come up with symbolism for a song that doesn’t belong to you..Jimin already stated what the song was about and in his album he has a copy of his writing and the feelings he wanted to convey. Also he didn’t add pt 2 because of Twice..Jimin has been working on this album for a while. He added part 2 because Suga has a song called Set Me Free.
