Why need to carry a copy if its e-visa?? He doesnt make sense .

If its e-visa then why to carry a paper??? I am not sure how many of you have faced this issue. The UK e-visa is not a portal from where you can navigate to all options like an app. There is a separate link for each activity. So e-Visa is available on a dedicated url, and cant download it. So you have to preserve as long as you want to access it. One more thing, BRP has NI code, but its absent in e-Visa, so you have to keep it safe somewhere. I dont know how it works for fresh issues?

Remember to carry your physical BRP (Biometric Residence Permit) when traveling outside the UK. No country will allow you entry without it before December 31st. I recently faced issues with Turkish immigration; they insisted on seeing the physical BRP and stated that no other document would be accepted. Without it, they refused to let me enter Turkey, causing me to lose my booking and incur additional travel expenses

Hi Rohan I want to know that what if someone travel to Turkey after 31 December 2024 from Uk, because I know you can get E-visa for turkey if you have valid UK permit, but as you know after 31 December physical BRP is no longer available. So while applying Turkey e-visa they ask for supporting documents number, so I am not quite sure what to enter there.?

There is no need to carry anything apart from your passport if the E-visa is linked to the passport number. I have already used E-visa to enter the UK back in June this year. The officer did not even ask to see my BRP though I had it with me.

I recently visited the UAE for a short vacation. On my flight back to the UK, after completing immigration and just before boarding the aircraft, we underwent a hand baggage check. The staff requested both passport and BRP card for passengers.Since the eVisa is an internal UK process ( do correct me if I'm wrong), I am curious how a foreign country can verify a passenger's eVisa when they do not have access to UK systems and must rely on physical documentation and everyone BRP card expires on 31st Dec 2024.

This is a question yet to be answered. I am assuming all country immigration counters and airline counters will have access to the UK E-visa system past end of this year. From the flight tickets they can know that you are flying to UK and they could check the E-visa system with the Passport number. I am travelling back to UK from India in Jan 2025. Will post an update here if no one else does before then.

I guess if we need to carry the printed letter for evisa ( as per advisor) then the purpose of shifting from card to online itself is not correct! Also, indont think all people have Internet access when they land at the airport, so if a officer is going to ask these question then that means there is again a hiccup isn't it! Sarika! If i am not wrong, everyone who has brps they get a email on their registered email id already to convert it to evisa. Thanks for your efforts 👍

i have got my UK Skilled Worker Visa approved on Nov 4, 2024. Now the next step in the immigration process is to do ID Check to be able to download the Share Code which I need to share with my NHS employer. But here, I’m facing this problem… in this UK Immigration ID Check app, original passport has to be scanned to proceed further. This app is unable to capture passport image… I have tried all the ways following all the instructions. Kindly help in this regard and guide how to resolve it.
