And that's 1992 completed! Thank you Francis, and an insight into the charts 32 years ago. One song that is very famous in here and that's the mammoth run Whitney Houston had at #1 (which was then the female record) with a blockbuster ballad from a blockbuster movie. I believe that was the last record Shakespere's Sister did before they split up...with a feud that went on for half a century. I had no idea Shanice did a cover of the Millie Riperton song. I believe Enya's song was used in a drama series of the same name. Ewww Gary Glitter. The sapphic entry from Bananarama became a huge hit for Steps in 1998. I prefer Bananarama's version. Shocked "Man On The Moon" wasn't a bigger hit as it's known! The Phillip Schofield song hasn't aged well now. Could do without The Chipmunks lol. Quite a strong list of songs here. My favourites are Whitney's blockbuster ballad, An excellent track from my favourite band Guns N Roses. An emotional peace ballad from Michael Jackson (sadly we still haven't learned Michael), Shakespere's Sister's underrated rock inspired single "Turn Your Radio On", classic from The Prodigy with an excellent rave / reggae mix. An R&B gem from the talent that is Mary J Blige. An underrated pop track from Danni Minogue, bhangra in the mainstream (and a great song) from Apache Indian who is from my home area of Birmingham (Handsworth). Co-Ro's version of "Because The Night" is one of the best (if not the best) Eurodance covers I've heard and it should have been a bigger hit. The video looks an adult film! Real vocals too from the singer. Finally throw in Nirvana - Kurt a legend. So many to list.

My final year as an only child as my mum was heavily pregnant with my sister. She was born in March. Unfortunately this was also my Grandad's final Christmas as well, although I wasn't told that then as at seven I was probably seen as too young, so it's mixed emotions. I knew something was wrong with him as he had got very weak and needed help getting out of bed and downstairs sometimes. I didn't know there was another cancer that was an illness other than it was the name of the star sign. He died the following June. Remember some of these. A couple were and are on the first CD I was ever given. Now 23 lol

Blimey, there seems to be a lot of covers on these charts here, but having said that I did like Carter USM's version of "The Impossible Dream" and Lemonheads version of "Mrs Robinson". Oh, I see you've used the original Sub Pop-era 1990 video of "In Bloom" by Nirvana from their "With The Lights Out" box set rather than the 1992 release where in the video they were pretending to be performing on a tv show.
