Amo tus videos ya que, en México, existió un canal gubernamental dedicado. exclusivamente a transmitir videos musicales y justamente en el 2005 fué su último año al aire (fué "secuestrado") y muchas canciones mostradas en tu video salían en Canal 28. Saludos y excelelente dia, Francis.

A few standout songs, some I've never heard of. Madonna's Hung Up is the best of this lot.

3 different artists scored hits with remixed variations of Waiting For A Star To Fall by Boy Meets Girl this year. The first two are obvious. It's the third one that's harder to pick.

1978 - has to be defined by Saturday Night Fever and Grease!!! In India back then, us teenagers tuned in to Radio Australia sometime in the afternoon to a program called Countdown hosted by Glenys Dixon. Many of these songs featured there. Damn, where is that time machine when you most need it😊

Some gems in there! I'd recently returned too the UK from abroad after two years. Wow what a shift in style from disco too post punk and Mod/ska. Was well out the look and got mocked by some kids. Not good as a fourteen year old. Soon court up though.

Towards the end it really picks up, Higher Love I consider the best 80s song of all, but the first 20mins features a lot of garbage bubble gum trash and it's no surprise I had never heard most of those songs before, and I know A LOT of 80s music.

The reason i came here, i will tell you in a minute.. i was with a girl called Lisa, she was the love of my life, You know when you say call off the search, i found her, she is the one i want to spend my whole life with, well that was me and her.. we was together in 1988, she was 16 and i was 18, we loved each other so much. she used to get tired a lot and she used to wheeze and have a cough, i always thought she had asthma, but one day she told me she was really sick and didn't have too long left, i told her to stop speaking like that, and that she will be ok. she wouldn't tell me what was wrong with her, she just broke up with me, i always thought she said she was sick as an excuse because she just didn't want to be with me anymore. i begged her not to end us, but in the end i was forced to walk away. i never forgot her, she's been on my mind for all these years, even though after we broke up and i met another girl and had kids, i never forgot Lisa, i always loved her and still do, so the reason i came here, i was told a few years ago she had passed away in 1994 from cystic fibrosis. so she did live for some time after we broke up, so she was telling the truth. she passed away at 22 years old, i would have been 24.. i have never had the courage to visit her grave, but i do plan to go see her soon, it's not too far from me, just a few miles. but i know i will cray, a lot.. i just miss her so much. i love her so much, i am almost 54 now, and i just think about her all the time, True Love for ever. They say Time Will Heal, But this Won't.. Lisa, i love you, I wish you was still here, with me. i want that missing part of me to make me complete again. You took that part with you, please come back

You should do videos based on a single artist to show what singles they released and how they performed (i.e. number of weeks, peak position) in various world charts.

Amazing how these songs are 43 years old! Rose Tattoo....famous for their lead singer Angry Anderson with the beautiful power ballad 'Suddenly' a big hit in 1988. This an excellent list of songs here 👍 Lot of rock here (which is always a good thing 👍) and classics both popular and forgotten. Is Diana Williams entry an actual song?! So many to choose from here with favourites. Motorhead, ABBA, Soft Cell, Stevie Wonder, Kim Wilde, Hi-Gloss (probably my #1 here - classic one hit wonder), UB40, The Human League (what was with the stalking in their videos?), Spandau Ballet (been listening to their early stuff a fair bit lately), Saxon. The Pointer Sisters, Ultravox, Genesis, Foreigner, Randy Crawford, Ottawan (sorry but it's a guilty pleasure) and don't hate me Cliff Richard's effort I like from this list. Too many to list.

Sorry I've not been about. Just glad the elections are over (I got 164 votes). Thank you for this. Quite a memorable summer of music and weather 👍 That Todd Terry track was a big hit that summer - great 90s dance tune with soulful vocals. Ewww.R Kelly! I did like that Shaggy cover. Gala's song never gets old and has aged well. Reminds me of summer. I've got a signed copy of Shena's 2009 album. My favourite on this is list is the R&B gem by Changing Faces. A timeless R&B ballad. Best time was the late 90s for soul / R&B music. Throw in Mama's and Papa's classic and Meredith Brooks. Thank you for these wonderful memories 👍

Music videos visually were at their peak around 1990. Real quality. However, the music compared to most years was pretty crappy. Grunge in 1991 kicked things back into gear.
