I’m so glad I found you! Good video. I don’t live in the UK, but Germany, so can I ask you some questions about some general things? I feel like I’m missing some facts about the dating scene in the UK. Does house-sitting equate with homelessness in the UK? It seems like in the comments, many YT viewers seem to think he’s not ready to settle down? Or is having a house ready to go like Freddie what a guy must do? What are people’s attitudes toward death? Why is it funny to Cat that Freddie is a funeral director? When Cat says she’s a partygirl, does that mean she just likes to go to posh restaurants and bars or is there something else implicitly understood there?

@@oekmama House sitting can equate with homelessness as sometimes people equate house sitters with squatters or couch surfing, the person who does not actually have a place to stay but will ask friends or associates to stay on their sofa for a couple of weeks. The stereotype is that they then overstep their boundaries and stay over for months because they do not actually have a place to stay. This is completely different to what Banaiah is describing where he rents a place to stay close to his project for work is, because his projects are not in one place so he cannot have a permenant place of residence. Women in their early 30s+ tend to expect for a man to have his own place like Freddie. Additionally, Freddie's house is very impressive because it's not plain it is well decorated which is unexpected for a man (again a stereotype) The British are very conservative, so we do not really like talking about death or being too expressive around others when grieving. A Funeral Director is a position usually occupied by the elderly or retired, Freddie is a young attractive man and so stereotypically that is not a job role people will expect him to have, hence the mockery by Catherine.

@@oekmama When Catherine says she is a party girl it means she is extroverted it does not explicitly mean she likes to go out to expensive bars but she is has expressed that she likes to do occasionally so it has been taken into consideration by Freddie that they have very different lifestyles. Freddie is more introverted and family oriented, he appears to enjoy the more simpler life pleasantries, so he identifies that they have different lifestyle values

@@dorcasopoku thank you for your explanations. I won’t spoiler the end, but I must say how impressed I was by the way these folks talked to the ones they had to let down.

Hey dorcas,i live in the states, how is the marriage dianamic in the U.k? Do men and women both share household duties and also work? Or the women work and also are expected to perform the homely duties?

@@purplelove3666 Hi There and welcome to my channel. I think the UK is still lagging behind in the progression of equal gender roles, on average most families have both parents working and women are still expected to perform the majority of household duties. Even though there has been a shift towards men's contributions in the home it still does not equate to what women are expected to do
