Today we cry over 2 inches of snow because we live in a country that sees very little of it and so is not worth investing in the infrastructure to deal with 2 inches of snow, which is why when we do get it we cope very badly with it and it causes a great deal of disruption. The alternative is to spend a great deal of tax money on equipment that will be used a handful of times before it has to be replaced. So take your pick: either pay significant sums for the infrastructure and barely use it, or accept that people are going to cry over 2 inches of snow because it will significantly impact them.

If a good Snow Fall really happens, I wonder if a lot of germ illnesses, will be almost blanked out , and, hopefully COVID will not be as bad as it has been. I don't like Snow very Much, except that for a short time it changes into really beautiful landscapes, but, the misery it causes towards weak and infirm humans is dreadful, and how much animals suffer as well is heartbreaking as well, but, if the Snowfalls kill COVID completely here in GB and Europe etc, I will not say or think too badly about it !.

Because the countries you mention have large snow deposits for months and have spent a fortune on the infrastructure to deal with it. Many parts of Britain on the other hand can go years and years without significant or disruptive snow fall and it is therefore not worth the expense to have large amounts of expensive machinery requiring constant maintenance lying around for years on end doing nothing. Takes less time of brain engagement to work why Britain struggles with small amounts of snow when other countries manage far more with ease, than it took you to write the nonsense above.

This lot today do not know what snow is, in the fifties n sixties, we had winters, where snow was normal, most kids had sledges n used them, never stopped schools n people going to work, get an inch of snow now a days n the place comes to a stand still.
