Today we cry over 2 inches of snow because we live in a country that sees very little of it and so is not worth investing in the infrastructure to deal with 2 inches of snow, which is why when we do get it we cope very badly with it and it causes a great deal of disruption. The alternative is to spend a great deal of tax money on equipment that will be used a handful of times before it has to be replaced. So take your pick: either pay significant sums for the infrastructure and barely use it, or accept that people are going to cry over 2 inches of snow because it will significantly impact them.

I remember my Parents telling me that a good amount of Snow kills most Germs, and, as, we have had a lot of viruses brought over by too many unchecked Migrants, and, the Snow fall has been very small in all places except Scotland and The Shetland Isles etc, if this is why we in The UK are getting old fashioned illnesses back again . If a good Snow Fall really happens, I wonder if a lot of germ illnesses, will be almost blanked out , and, hopefully COVID will not be as bad as it has been. I don't like Snow very Much, except that for a short time it changes into really beautiful landscapes, but, the misery it causes towards weak and infirm humans is dreadful, and how much animals suffer as well is heartbreaking as well, but, if the Snowfalls kill COVID completely here in GB and Europe etc, I will not say or think too badly about it !.

Because the countries you mention have large snow deposits for months and have spent a fortune on the infrastructure to deal with it. Many parts of Britain on the other hand can go years and years without significant or disruptive snow fall and it is therefore not worth the expense to have large amounts of expensive machinery requiring constant maintenance lying around for years on end doing nothing. Takes less time of brain engagement to work why Britain struggles with small amounts of snow when other countries manage far more with ease, than it took you to write the nonsense above.

There is a chance next week that warm, moist air may ride up over cold, dry air, somewhere between the north coast of France and northern Scotland, possibly leading to a band of snow somewhere across the country, that may, or may not, cause significant snowfall somewhere. But I suppose it is as well to be prepared for the worst, just in case, although it won't affect my plans until there is more certainty, and that may not be until next week. @@chriscodes1 Grow up. The science is incontrovertible. And Scotland did not have a Mediterranean climate before 1200 AD. It had a warm period starting in about 2000BC and was somewhat warmer before 1200. Not that that means anything at all since nobody is suggesting there aren't natural and regional fluctuations in climate. Pointing out that fact does absolutely nothing to undermine the science on the CO2 mediated rapid climate change we are currently experiencing.

Well I've just checked on the BBC weather chart ( I know, I know ) and cannot see even a flake of snow forecast over the UK for the coming 6 days, it's going to be cold, but mainly dry. They do change their minds over the days, but at this time, that's what the map is showing. I'm more interested in their excuses for why we didn't get the predicted summer heatwaves or white Christmas.

Look can someone please make up their minds with the colour palette, According to that map the Atlantic and the North sea are experiencing intense heat waves which should, (by all Media accounts) be drying up the ocean, leading to droughts across the world. Odd the heatwave in Norway is not getting any attention.
