Today we cry over 2 inches of snow because we live in a country that sees very little of it and so is not worth investing in the infrastructure to deal with 2 inches of snow, which is why when we do get it we cope very badly with it and it causes a great deal of disruption. The alternative is to spend a great deal of tax money on equipment that will be used a handful of times before it has to be replaced. So take your pick: either pay significant sums for the infrastructure and barely use it, or accept that people are going to cry over 2 inches of snow because it will significantly impact them.

I remember my Parents telling me that a good amount of Snow kills most Germs, and, as, we have had a lot of viruses brought over by too many unchecked Migrants, and, the Snow fall has been very small in all places except Scotland and The Shetland Isles etc, if this is why we in The UK are getting old fashioned illnesses back again . Because the countries you mention have large snow deposits for months and have spent a fortune on the infrastructure to deal with it. Many parts of Britain on the other hand can go years and years without significant or disruptive snow fall and it is therefore not worth the expense to have large amounts of expensive machinery requiring constant maintenance lying around for years on end doing nothing. There is a chance next week that warm, moist air may ride up over cold, dry air, somewhere between the north coast of France and northern Scotland, possibly leading to a band of snow somewhere across the country, that may, or may not, cause significant snowfall somewhere.
