industry in Germany was almost undestroyed after the Second World War. Only the infrastructure such as the roads were almost completely destroyed. That's why the Germans still had the industry to manufacture everything with it, but no raw materials that could be delivered to the factories. After the war, the Germans only had to repair the infrastructure and were able to start production again.
