I know character portraits aren't a perfect frame of reference for height, but I honestly think it'd be hilarious if Yuuma is actually the tallest of the three, and just doesn't seem like she is because she's usually hunched over or squatting, with Saki being the shortest. Yachie apparently isn't super tall herself, as she expresses jealousy towards Hisami's height. Still, with the way the revelation that Saki is short broke the fandom, I want Tall Yuuma to rub salt in the wound. Anyway, her having history with Ran is REALLY interesting, I hope future content elaborates on this more.

Her personality can change based on the thing she consumed. In 17.5 she drank a shit load of oil in the Former Hell of Blood Pool (I think it is like blood that are full of resentment of the creatures sunken down there) and were therefore more malicious and aggressive. Yuuma being "nice" in this game is probably closer to her normal self.

Yuuma has the honor of being the only character in the franchise whose boss theme hijacks the final boss theme. Unknown X doesn't count since it's not tied to any character.

@@The360MlgNoscoper In this game, and just about all fighting/Phantasmagoria games, the final battle of a character will always either have the theme of the final boss or an instance of _Unknown X_ play during the fight, even if the final battle is not against the official final boss. For example, in SWR, Aya's final battle is against Reimu, yet Tenshi's theme plays during the fight, even though she isn't involved in the slightest. And in AoCF, any final battle against someone who isn't the Yorigami Sisters has _Unknown X_ play. And in this game, any final battle has Zanmu's theme...except for Ran's final battle, which plays Yuuma's theme.

i think yuuma's more of a defensive unit. her scope is goddamn huge.

@@Mikairium Well yeah but as far as I can tell, the final spellcards can only be used while fighting against them in story mode, so they shouldn't affect their abilities in PVP. Her normal spell is perfectly suitable for that purpose, and also way harder than her final.

@@Touhouuu Late but at least you have to micrododge. With Yuuma's you don't even have to do that since the fireballs are so spread out. Looking back, I wonder if maybe it was supposed to speed up over time, perhaps similar to Remilia's "Fitful Nightmare". None of the other final bosses do this with their finals (except maybe Saki?), which is odd as before it was almost universal for modern Touhou games to have the final spell speed up over time.

Yuuma is the undisputed stall character in UDoaLG. In terms of meta functionality, she occupies the same general niche as Cirno in PoFW but is actually good. Her bullet-clearing melee, paired with a gigantic scope, lets you mercilessly cuck your opponent out of basically any amount of bullet vomit they throw onto your screen if you play her right. Which, in and of itself, makes her pretty funny to play.
