A couple of questions... Do you have to register as a sole trader right from the start? When you're just starting out and only have made one or two sales (has not reached the threshold), do you have to file a tax form too? Thanks!

That was very helpful.we are plannig to start some small work. .but wanted to understand..When is the good time to make it official(register as sole trader).. or we can just start without it.. and sell the goods on e-commerce platforms and on our own website. I understand that limited company is next step. Tia

You can start without it up until you need to file your tax returns (I’m not an expert) have a check of the gov website but there should be a revenue minimum you need to hit

Hey! Not an expert on this at all but you can I feel like this is why customer may be charged tax when their order arrives or you can add tax on top of your retail price when you are VAT registered but you won’t have to do that until you’re over the threshold, deffo do some further research on Google 👌🏽

No need to do that, you can operate as a sole trader but if you need to register for VAT (once you make the threshold) you will have to be a limited company ❤️

You can start without a trademark, just make sure you aren’t using a name or logo that is already trademarked as later down the road you’ll have to change everything 😊

No worries and yes you can link your domain name to any website provider, you can transfer or set up a direct debit money from your business account to your personal to pay yourself, and 3 really depends but when you hit near to 10k p/m or over then is deffo best (I’m not an expert on that do more research) c
