If it is an innovation: Step 1: finding the problem, 2: finding out how many people it affects, 3: finding a way to fix that problem (solution). 4: finding how to charge the people you are fixing the problem for (pricing). 4. finding how to get people to know that they have a problem and you have a solution (sales, branding or marketing). 5: partnering with the right people, 6. being patient. If it is selling a product which exists: Step 1: Knowing the product, 2: understanding the value chain, 3: doing a research on the future of that product in that market, 4: finding out what makes you different from other tradders. 5: connecting, getting a lot of connections as possible 6: being patient.

Hello and thank you for the video. I found Step 1, 3, and 4 are very helpful. I think Step 2 might be a bit too advanced for me right now because this is my first attempt at starting a business. I see the value in getting approval from others, but I don't know how to lead ppl to a survey page or my website. Since my business idea (print-on-demand) has low upfront costs I feel like I can start here and see how things go, and come back to these steps once I've got things started.

Question in case anyone can answer: How do you achieve lead generation from a practical standpoint i.e. how do you get someone to engage with a scorecard? Do you pay for ads to promote it? I tried cold emails, cold calls, speaking to the public, anything I could think of and only got 2 email addresses. Are ads the only way unless you already have an audience?
