anything that gets released in the public mainstream is pop. That's why it's called popular culture music, aka pop. So Eminiem, Jay-z, Justin Beiber, Britney Spears, Ellie Goulding, Skrillex etc.. are all now classed under pop music. If a 'melodic dubstep' song got released into the mainstream it would be pop music as well. I'm pretty sure a similar 'melodic dubstep' track has been released into the mainstream.
