Actually, applying real world logic to it, psychics would be extra susceptible to hypnosis due to their enhanced ability to focus. A vivid and active imagination is also a factor that increases suggestibility. The idea that simple-minded folks are easier to hypnotize is, in fact, not true, as far as the real world is concerned. It gained traction in fiction because on the surface it makes sense that someone can't fight back if they don't understand what's happening to their mind in the first place, which if you add magic to the equation, makes it all the more plausible. ...Why do I know so much about this 😅
