It was a beautiful stand of 80+ year old Larch trees. These Larch trees and the symbol produced by their needles in Fall, were only ever visible from aircraft, Aerially and only for a short duration of time. I applaud the accuracy of technique in planting formation of these trees. That doesn’t mean I support the political system who planted

People who partake in the knee-jerk offended culture would much rather take the quicker yet more destructive approach to get rid of "hate issues" rather than planting the seeds and standing back and letting the problem resolve itself naturally. A few years ago there was an episode on TV about this. It's interesting that when I saw it before they explained that the larch trees were planted in the early 1930s to replace trees which had died. When the trees were planted the people planting them didn't know of the color change. It was merely a coincidence that the replacements formed a swastika. If you look at a photo with a wider view you can see other larches in the area which do not form any pattern. They present it as a mystery to keep interest up. Also, they were not planted to commemorate Hitler's birth. He was born in the spring.
