Ukraine forces destroy 11 Russian military vehicles including tanks

Ukraine's 93rd Mechanized Brigade destroying Russian military vehicles including tanks in eastern Ukraine.
The footage appears to show multiple vehicles being hit by Ukrainian ordnance in the Kharkiv region of eastern Ukraine.
The footage was obtained from the 93rd Mechanized Brigade - officially the 93rd Independent Kholodnyi Yar Mechanized Brigade - which is part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
It was also relayed by the Centre for Strategic Communications and Information Security, which is part of the Ukrainian government, under the Ministry of Culture and Information.
The 93rd Mechanized Brigade said in a short statement obtained on Wednesday, 22nd June: "The 93rd Cold Yar Brigade destroyed 11 units of enemy equipment, including tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, and Lynx combat vehicles.
"The Kholodnoyars are firmly defending the Izium area and reaffirm that the Russian army is not as powerful as their propaganda suggests.
"The Ukrainian army has a strong motivation because it protects its own land!"
Izium is a city on the Donets River in the Kharkiv Oblast region of eastern Ukraine.
Russia invaded Ukraine on 24th February in what the Kremlin is calling a "special military operation". Today marks the 120th day of the invasion.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that between 24th February and 23rd June, Russia had lost about 34,430 personnel, 1,504 tanks, 3,632 armoured combat vehicles, 756 artillery units, 240 multiple launch rocket systems, 99 air defence systems, 216 warplanes, 183 helicopters, 620 drones, 137 cruise missiles, 14 warships, 2,548 motor vehicles and fuel tankers, and 60 units of special equipment.
The Ukrainian military has said that it has launched airstrikes on Zmiinyi Island, which is also known as Snake Island, causing “significant losses” to Russia’s forces there in an operation that it says is ongoing.

They have also lost 3600 combat vehicles which includes 1500 tanks, 750 artillery, 200 aircraft, 183 helicopters, 14 ships and boats. Also the Russian supporting rebels has lost over 50% of their forces the in Donbas region. All of this and they still have barely conquered 1/5 of Ukraine during this war. These actions have also strengthened NATO and pretty much destroyed Russia's economy with the sanctions. As result, army of Ukraine had to join Russian army as well, as Belarusian. The next target - Moldova and then Baltic countries. Meantime, China putted "the hand" on Taiwan. Only because courage and self sacrifice of Ukrainian army this process is slow down but not stopped. China is waiting for the result of this war...The world have to help and support Ukraine now. Nope. The infantryman is not easy to spot and if he knows he is spotted he hits the ground. A tank spotted by a drone, for example, cannot run and cannot hide.

To kill a tank you must bring in a specialized asset and bring it to bear without being targeted yourself. My argument isn't that the tank is flawless but that it can still do important things better than anything else for their cost

The point is that armed drones (and surveillance drones armed with with laser-painting ability linked with artillery), satellite/AWACS downlinks, as well as improved antitank infantry weapons means that armored forces are NOW very vulnerable. Not saying one can’t kill an infantryman (once spotted and targeted).

@@MarcosGarcia-ot2lt Please explain to this former Marine tanker what you see the tanks role in the future. If you have noticed, the Marine Corps has gotten rid of all its tanks last year. The biggest problem is getting 72 tons to the battlefield. The only value of a tank is the direct fire support it can provide to the grunts. This will be taken care of by some autonomous robot that is small, fast and can be controlled by a grunt. The vulnerability of todays 8.5 million dollar tank is just not worth it. It may have a place in the desert , who knows. Control of the air is essential but man pads have made that difficult.
