They should be doing the same as azov do in azovstaal, lay down their weapons and surrender. Think, Russia maybe only uses about 10% of their military capacity, meaning they got 90% in reserve. They not been using their best and heavy weapons, they could have used US tactics and carpet bombed everything with large bomber planes and sending in thousand fighter jets at the same time. They also got couple millions soldiers to put in, they uses only 200000 now. They should stop fighting for us nato, save their lives. @@polarvortex3294 What's more, the tank HAD infantry support. The troops in the trench at the start of the video were fellow Russians. It HAD infantry support and went off hunting rocket-armed infantry all on it's own and ended up having to run. Ideally it should have moved back behind the trench forcing the Ukrainians to advance towards the infantry in the trench line in order to keep engaging the tank. Then once both side's infantry were engaged the tank could come back up to support it's own infantry element. Again what I think we're seeing here is the Russian rank-and-file's lack of training. I'm also willing to bet that the tank and infantry element didn't have any form of radio communication with each other to coordinate which is fairly crucial, especially in a situation like this were the unit is in a defensive position and therefor the tank is likely to be buttoned up, cutting off any other communication with the supporting infantry. I wonder if they even HAVE a way of communicating at that small unit level.

The thing with a tank isn’t that they are invincible (they never have been and never will be). The main purpose of a tank is to give overwhelming firepower to support an infantry advance. When combined with air superiority and ifv’s it’s a match made in heaven. There are currently no vehicles that can do what tanks do and better. Yes they are expensive but they are hard to kill when proper tactics are involved. The Russians are using vehicles from the Cold War Bc they can’t afford to make better so they just upgrade what they have. The biggest problem with them is the auto loading feature which basically puts a big ring of ammunition in the center of the tank making it so that ammo racks are a death sentence. NATO tanks have blast proof doors to protect the crew in case of an ammo rack. Nothing is perfect and everything will become old and need to be replaced but the old will stick around until something better comes in to replace it. I hope this helped if you do indeed read it🙂

The tank crew was totally disoriented where the fire was coming from although his main focus was the one Ukrainian soldier on his right. This was a perfect ambush but execution was derailed because I believe it was RPG missiles that missed and not anti tank weapon like the Javelin, etc What he should have done was to lay flat on the ground. The tank turret will never be able to aim so closely to the ground for a direct hit on the Ukrainian soldier.

The tank crew did a good job to escape the enemy, as well as the ukrainians trying to destroy them. But I really don't understand one thing in this battle. Why is this russian tank all alone on that road, what did he do there, what was his goal. Me, as a former armored infantry platoon leader, cannot understand the tactics of the russian forces. There are no tactics. A single main battle tank on a street with woods and bushes at both sides is completely lost and an easy target for infantry. The lowest tactical team is the platoon, not a single tank. The only reason what I could imagine, is that the russian group had been already decimated before. Very impressive video.

That tank was very lucky, and the crew seem to be on top of it. I didn't see any infantry engaging it get hit either. Lucky break for everyone involved. That being said, that Russian tank is asking for trouble going in without any backup, infantry or otherwise.

In the beginning of the video, on the bottom left, there is a trench, and you can see some men moving there (2 or 3). I believe the location was a russian position being attacked by the ukrainians, the tank was defending the position.

Too much chatter about infantry support. Tanks do not fear infantry. At least ones with proper sights to detect them and proper anti missile defense. These Russian tanks are just gutted.
@nobodyknows31802 жыл бұрын
@@TheBooban The opposite is true - tanks shouldn't be moving alone in Injun country without infantry support - the need to clear the immediate area, especially in urban areas or in areas such as this with heavy cover which can conceal ambushers, and the consistent failure on the part of the Russians to provide said infantry support, is what has resulted in so much destruction of Russian tanks and armored vehicles. And that's not me speaking, that's the milbloggers who talk on this subject every day.

@@TheBooban You're forgetting that Warfare is often a game of rock-paper-scissors. In this case: Tank beats Infantry Infantry beats Anti-tank Infantry Anti-tank Infantry beats tank. Of course this is an oversimplification, but you get the gist. And that is why armies often have Infantry to support tanks.

What's craziest about this is how Ukrainian troops are firing anti tank rounds BELOW the minimum distance as they are getting that close to the tanks. I mean they have some serious balls
@robertmonroe36782 жыл бұрын
Wonder if the tank crew called for gunships. Actually, I don’t know if the tank crew has that authority or if Russian helicopters respond anymore in any case. That said, the tank took wise action to prevent its own destruction.

@@mariuszsaassa414 It's hard to discern if it is two soldiers falling off the back of the tank or just tank debris. You can see it at around 0:20 - 0:22 just after the tank turns.

It's part of the tank like ERA packs or kit that has been strapped to the outside of the tank.
