As a Russian I can say that nobody talks about this Kursk thing here, I mean people I know, people in streets in transport etc, it's just a very minor thing somewhere 2000 km away, and everybody understands that Russian military will solve this over time, so why bother.

We aren't sure. We can speculate, but without leaked documents or recordings, we don't know. It's possible they want to use the land as a negotiating piece. Or to garner better PR, and weapons

The reason it makes sense for Ukraine to open up a front in Russia, is because it makes more sense than Russia opening another front in Ukraine which Russia was going to do. Its much harder for Russia to fight on its own territory without obliterating everything like they can in Ukraine. They would get another front either way, they might as well do it on Russias territory.

Suspicious not saying the ukns r incompetent they can perform great offensives like the karkiv one , but look at other intel I thought kursk kursk r the russisns at it again ww2 the decisive battle the was the last turning points on Germany trapping an intire army its reversed I know but look at the map instead of the russians pushing ukrn out ,could they be just closing the Northern pincers cutting main supply line , 2nd what about last couple months intel was saying russia had 100,000 troops from kharkiv belgrod , possible next sumy offensive, what happen to those troops did ukrn say okay there not doing anything let's go like kinda a russian trap , question what's ukrn gain more territory moral boost , what's russia lost territory conscripts , lost prisoiners of war ? @@pitkind4hardcoresolo It's a sign that Wagner mercenaries used alot, and as they got involved in Ukraine this sign spread to the rest of the Russian military. In general, it's a pro-war sign or just a sign that is cool.

Why call the saient in Kursk small and compare it to Krinky? Krinky took over 1 year to push back with huge russian losses. Also, elite mechanized brigades are put to better use in mobile warfare than sitting in a building demolished by FABs. I guess Brian understands this but for propaganda purposes decides not to. Also, building a strawman on NPP as the only objevtive is also just propaganda. If Ukraine can enter russia at will, it shows russia also is stretched thin and might have to assign troops to guard the border. Brians attempt to oortrait this as a fiasco before no one even knows what is happening just shows what a propagindist he is. Finally, what about russian propaganda and just outright lies. Gerasimov saying on Thursday Ukraine was stopped in Kursk 😂

If those last fortified areas fall and the Russians break into the open country, can their logistics keep up? I think the Russians have serious problems with logistics.

I think the probability is that everyone has problems with logistics under the current technological conditions. Convoys of fuel tankers and supply trucks are simply not safe anywhere near the front line. Makeshift solutions are obviously found. I saw at least one video of plastic bladders filled with diesel rigged in the back of an unmarked civilian delivery van but in my opinion this has to put a serious limit to the rate that supplies can be delivered to the front lines especially on the advance.

That's why we constantly see stalled/failed offensive comments. They reach a viable limit then pause, allow logistics to catch up, rotate troops etc.

@@fred4687 Correct. I hear troops go to the front on foot for about the last 7 to 10 km. Trucks can't get there safely. They take everything they need with them, food ammo for up to a week. It's a slow process. Drones have changed everything.
