100% democratic societies need to put pressure on their government to support Ukraine militarily, not only because they may be the next targets, but to show that the values of freedom and democracy are not empty words for them. This world just sucks man.. but what can we do about it other than watch as people are getting killed and countries are being conquered right next to us?
@babyjiren96762 жыл бұрын
@@Askorias No, Putin isn't that crazy. He's doing this because the threat of Ukraine joining NATO was becoming very real, which means he'd lose pretty much the only real foothold Russia has in Europe while also allowing for the west to theoretically expand eastward. They'd be able to place weapons in critical positions against Russia's borders. This is also why he's shown interest in certain Nordic countries since they also border to Russia and haven't joined NATO yet either. I don't think he's crazy enough to start WW3, but he probably sees no problem with invading Ukraine since he knows the west are too cowardly to do anything significant about it.
@julianmarx20022 жыл бұрын
It is sickening, but it really seems like there is no short term military solution that doesn't risk all out war in Europe, if not nuclear war: Putin and Russia must be fought over the long-run by other means than direct force, such as by the whole world squeezing them so much until his own people turn on him. That is not patriotism. That is the power of propaganda! The true is they are escaping their country and they do not need the war to do so. Over 3mln ukrainians fled to Poland ony to work as a cheap labour for 600$ per month which is barely enough to pay the rent. Those who are in Poland do not even think about coming back to Ukraine. They have no patriotism whatsoever and they don't know what a real freedom is because they don't remember it. They are living like slaves. Their country has been sold out to western countries. Their goverment is corrupted to the core and don't give a sh..t about ukrainian People. Western world are using the power of propaganda building up their morales because they want them fight against Russia. They are nothing but cannon fodder for the western world.
