When you took the escalator in the Metro Tanya and said Ukrainians use it for a bomb shelter during air raids it reminded me of the stories my mum use to tell me when she was alive - When she was 10 years old in London during the Blitz in 1939 when the Doodle Bugs was sent over from France, including V2 Rockets and Luftwaffe Bombers was bombing London and its docks and other British cities day and night. My mum said many Britons would take shelter during air raids in the underground stations which you call Metro stations in Ukraine. Sending prayers to you and your family and all Ukrainians during this traumatic time. Hoping for peace and an end to war between Ukraine and Russia. 🙏🏻

Not too long ago I heard that the US was awarding Ukraine 44 billion dollars in aid so why is President Zelenski saying you need more weapons? Has he spent all this money? Tanya, thank you for the videos walking around Kiev. It gives a great sense of how ordinary life continues. You might want to consider that according to inforamtion I found, there were 3,432 fatralities in Ukraine in 2017 due to traffic accidents. That's about 10 per day., and I suspect that is more than the number of fatalities and injuries each day caused by Russian missles and drones. If that is true then the people of Ukraine should relax and go about their business without worrying about Russian missles and drones. They don't pose a greater danger in Ukraine than driving a car in peace time. The probability that any individual person going about their daily lives are going to be killed or injured by Russian missles and drones is extremely small as the population of Ukraine is 35,000,000 people. What Putin is going is to increase the level of anxiety in Ukraine rather by doing something which while terribly tragic in individual instances has little effect on the country as a whole. The effect is psychological, not real. Think of how many people in Ukraine will die from heart attacks, strokes, cancer and other medical conditions, in addition to car accidents just as a part of everyday life, and you realize that people in Ukraine are not afraid of driving in cars or worried that they will be stricken by a medical emergency. Putin's goal is to make the people of Ukraine afraid, to increase the level of anxiety without really creating any more death and destruction than would occur on an ordinary day in Ukraine n peacetime. Putin is playing mind games. If you worry or are afraid or feel exhausted and worn out, then Putin is achieving his objective. Be aware of that and you can be strong.
