Ukraine’s 59th Brigade have developed a new tactic to clear Russian troops out of captured building in the Donbas. Drone video captures the strategy in action, as assault teams use armoured vehicles to rapidly attack houses where the Russians are holed up in the towns of Krasnohorivka and Pervomaiske. The vehicles pull up to the houses as the gunner opens fire to keep the Russians suppressed. Under covering fire, the assault team moves up to the ground floor windows. They then toss satchel charges filled with explosives into the buildings, set on a timer. Once the bombs are thrown, the troops rush back to the vehicles and escape. Moments later the bombs they left behind detonate, flattening the buildings and the Russians inside. The 59th Brigade say the tactic has been used to take out dozens of Putin’s men in the two towns. They are located near Donetsk city, which has been occupied by Russia and its proxies since 2014. Putin’s men are trying to push out from the city to capture the rest of the Donetsk region. The Russian despot has promised his people he will take the oblast as part of his ‘military operation’. #russia #ukraine #war

I remember last January 14th, I just arrived at O'Hare International from Warszawa Chopin International Airport, having recently arrived from Odesa, Kyiv, and L'viv. It was like negative 10 degrees Fahrenheit, if not colder, and we were waiting for the shuttle bus to take us to a hotel down the road. It was so cold that once the Dreamliner had arrived on the ground, we had to wait an hour and a half longer because it was explained to us that the gate which connects to the exit door of the plane had frozen. So when the shuttle van finally arrives and we all exit the building and go to the back of the van with our luggage, and it is really cold outside, and we are all feeling very uncomfortable, and the driver, who is alone, is doing something else than putting all of our luggage in the back of the van, and it is too long to wait one second more, I grab my two pieces of luggage and open the back van door and I lift them up to the back of the van. As I am doing this, finally the driver observed me and came towards us and made some obnoxious comment, and I said, "if I hadn't been aggressive in Ukraine, I wouldn't have gotten anywhere." That sank in for a moment and the guy says something crazy. I remember when the Polish railway train had broken down and we had to transfer from a Ukrainian railway train to a Flixbus, I had to pack the luggage myself to get all of the luggage inside the lower compartment, because apparently, it was not the bus driver's job to do it. He probably didn't want to hurt his back. A young Ukrainian woman had asked me "how long before we leave?" and I had to tell her that I was not an employee, but we'd likely leave very soon and as soon as I had finished putting the last of everyone's luggage in the storage area. She continued to stay with me until I had packed everything just right. Hence, if these Ukrainian soldiers from the 59th Brigade wouldn't run at the houses while suppressive fire was being aimed at the windows, and then throw explosives inside the houses, the entire f______ Ukrainian Army, "wouldn't have gotten anywhere." I've emailed President Biden a few weeks ago that Ukraine needed more tanks. An American in Ukraine had said this in a podcast about the time when I emailed President Biden. Tanks should do this, but the Ukrainian soldiers are brave, unstoppable, creative, and are heroes. There's a big difference in putting luggage in the back of a shuttle van or in the luggage compartment of a Flixbus, but I moved earth and heaven when I was in Ukraine to get things done. The 59th Brigade is moving earth and heaven to move the orcs out of the occupied territory. I stand next to these brave soldiers in trepidation because of their stanch work. Slava Ukraine!
